Chapter 3: 'CHOICE B'

"He's got a sub-protagonist vibe, playful and full of smile. For now, I'm after you first," you said to yourself, now pulling the last book you need.

"...Aww, he might pour some tears because of me soon in the future," Y/N says, remembering a certain K-drama.

"I'd better apologize in advance. Sorry man"

Standing up, I watched him disappear. I gave him a small nod to his back in apology.

"Well...this dream isn't so bad after all" you finished then smiled. 'Shit I might jinx myself'

With some students who were not as cold-

Like the ones, I experienced in my class...

I feel relieved and confident

"Eeek!"

But at that moment-

I hear a sharp yelp from the hallways

I fast-walked to the hallway where I heard the noise.

"Shit.. are you kidding me?" There I see a gorgeous and pretty-looking student. She had a high ponytail with her bangs leftover at the right side of her face. She has clear skin and a beautiful pair of black eyes with long pretty eyelashes."

"Hey, don't you lie to me. Did you just spill this on purpose? Did you?" The black-haired girl clicked her tongue then rolled her eyes.

"Can't you even handle one single task? How will you repay my latte?!!!!" the girl complains, gaining attention from nearby classrooms.

'Oh jeez... can't you lower your voice a little? It's a public place...'

The sudden ruckus draws everyone's attention. And soon, the hallway is filled with students. Some students were looking from the window of their classroom, others were left in the classroom, going through their phones...

'Ugh... I should quickly sneak into my classroom unnoticed' You said mentally. But before you can leave, you heard another girl's voice in the crowd.

"I'm sorry Yaoyorozu... But it was only a mistake, believe me...!"

I had a glimpse from the crowd and saw the girl that was being scolded. She had short hair that is curled inwards. She has slanted bangs from her right to the left, her side bangs were also curled inwards and are much longer. She had round chubby cheeks with a tint of pink on them. Her eyes were big and brown.

"Yeah. Your not buffed up enough to pull an act like this. Still, I really hoped you'd come to use your senses, idiot. You really should try using your brain, or don't you have one?!" The Blackett says. And from the look of her face- she looked very pissed.

'Geesh, and you've got some manner issues girl...!'

I feel enraged by the girl's mean words and I've barely calmed down... It's a bad idea to butt in when I have no friends. It will only make my school days more miserable than it already is...

'Let's just go... That's none of my business... I shouldn't interfere...'

With that thought in mind, I was about to turn in the other direction when all of a sudden... there was-

rumbling*

Turning to the window, I saw a group of dark clouds forming above the schoolyards.

'Wh-what...? No way...'

The cloud is growing fast, darkening the sky with an eerie feeling.

"Anyhow, your dream will turn into a living nightmare if you don't follow the cliché in your mind. Your defense mechanism protects the rules of teenage romance in your unconscious"

"...Thunderstorm in the middle of a sunny day..."

-This must be what Yumeko had warned me-

"Y-you want me to get caught in the middle of that fight...? Can't I just leave in peace...? Spare me this once..." you said, pleading in a hushed tone while looking out at the window.

'Come on, god of unconsciousness...!'

'Argh, why does it have to be so difficult to become a typical cliché' teen romance girl?!'
