The shapeshifter pack

A large figure moved though the tall grass like a graceful swan, never making a sound. it was a lioness. Not only a lioness but a shapeshifter. She had with her seven females and fifteen cubs. They lost thier mates to a fire and they were grateful to the female who lead them now.

She was a newcomer to the pack but was good at seviving in the harshness of the grasslands of The ninja world. The lead female stopped to sniff the air and let out a warning growl. Everyone ducked as tree figures were seen. Orutchimaru, Kabuto yakushi, and a child climbing into oruchimaru's arms. His laughter was sweet and gental unlike the kind the lead female has heard before. It almost made him look human.

"my sweet little girl come on time for bed!" he said in a sing-song tone.

"but daddy! *yawn* I'm not sleepy yet."the girl wined as he carried her into the under ground base.

"oh... Kids will be kids... She knows better then to wonder off without gaurds. Hm!? Huh? Must have been my imagination." at that moment the pack held thier breaths. They let it out silently as Kabuto went inside as well.

They pressed on untill they were out of the land of sound. They made thier way to a canyon and soon found a large cave. They rested there for the night. The next day the leader let out a yawn.

"come on ladies and cubs! We must keep moving. We need to find food and water! I see a river down there and it's bound to have at least one fish!" she roared as the huntress stirred.

"I just went scouting. The river is teaming with samon. I just seen some humans though. I heard one say to be careful of mountian lions. We look like lions so it's good cover."

"good work jasmine! Huntresses! Move out!" the leader roared as three of the seven lionesses left. One of the fifteen cubs chased his moms tail before joining the others in a game of hunter and prey. Jasmine was the second in command of the pack and she smiled warmly as she turned into her human form. She was tall at 7'7" and had tan skin her mouth covered with a mask. She wore the mask to hide the stitches she had to get after her mate pushed her out of the way of the full force of the blast. Her hair was a deep red and had soft green eyes. She wore a lovely green blouse and jade caprices. Her shoes were typical ninja shoes and she had her calf length hair in a tight braid wrapped into a bun.

The leader was next to transform. She was pale like ivory with deep chestnut hair with a slight red tint to it, she had deep hazel eyes and was smaller then the others. She was 5'3 1/2". She had a pride like no other but had a heart of a angel. The only cub old enough to learn to hunt was a male by the name of James. Just like his father before him he had the same ebony skin and hair. His deep green eyes came from his mother. Jasmine taught him well and soon he brought back a large elk just as the leader was about to reprehend him.

"jasmine...your cub has shown much progress. Perhaps when we find a ninja we can get the ninja to train him."

"yes leader-sama. I'm so proud of you my son! Come! Let's get the meat prepared!" she yelled in pride of her eldest. The other three of hers ran up and asked if they could have new moccasins or new toys made from the bones and hide.

Little did they know...they were being spied on by Kabuto. He silently growled at the fact that they lost everything to a fire set by poachers. He sent a message to his master and the response was immediate. 'help them out in anyway you can with out being spotted!' he grinned as the leader came into view. He blushed as she turned to the rising sun. He thanked his art if camouflage for she couldn't see him. She stretched and yawned. Her yawn showed her long fangs and her ears twitched and she looked strait at him! She walked up to him and smiled.

"a male? Your sent is a shape-shifters. Why do you serve a human?" she asked him.

"I'm a shapeshifter?"

"yes the silver hair is of our old leader. His son and wive disappeared one night. You smell just like the son!"

He concentrated and soon he was a wolf with silver fur and brown eyes. His glasses were useless now! He had perfect 3300/3300 vision! They can see very far by the way! The pack was out and soon bowed to him. Orochimaru appeared and grinned kindly as he bowed as well.

"you found yourssself. My dear friend. My daughter and I will mis you. Please don't hesitate if your pack needs help we will." he said as Kabuto hugged his mentor in a wolf style.
