Maria or just Mari, the youngest and most treasured son of the Capulet patriarch, that no one knew him personally outside his main family, has been one of Wade's best friend. Disguising his true identity to be beside Wade whom he loves so much ever since he was 16.

Due to his unusual grey and silver coat he was often not recognized as a fox but just a small wolf. It maybe also the fact that he was blessed by the mischievous Nine-tailed fox that he can easily see deceive others.

His love for Wade never vanished despite the growing dispute with their family. However, seeing him love someone else, especially his cousin whom he knew was affiliated with other males behind Wade's back broke his heart.

Watching Wade blind to all of these hurt him more.

So Mari with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart decided to be the villain in this story of love and betrayal and a family feud.

"Why are you doing this?!" Wade shouted angrily at his best friend Maria.

"Why are you trying to accuse and hurt my future mate in front of me of cheating?! You know Rosalinda would never do that to me!"

"But what I’m saying is all true!" Maria's blue-ish silver eyes implored the enraged Wade honestly.

The confrontation began when Mari found out that Rosalinda has two more lovers and is using his relationship with Wade to spy on the later's family.

So he stormed towards her and slapped her hard out of anger. Telling her that he knew what she did. And the girl had the guts to smirk at him and dared him to tell Wade, since she knew that Wade would always take her side.

And that is what exactly happened, her cunning deception turned his best friend against him.

"I have all the evidence, please believe me Wade!"

"No believe me Wade. He only made those evidence up. I didn't want to tell you. But... But Mari wanted me for himself! I tried.... Tried to tell him to stop. But he- he promised that he will destroy me. Destroy us! P-please believe me!" Rosalinda cry out.

"Your lying! You bitch how dare you--" Maria was cut off with Wade's enraged fist. In his feat he fought Mari.

Maria with his excellent fighting skill deflected Wade's attack but never bothered to retaliate.

Wade delivered an intense kick "You dare betray me!" Wade bellowed at the fallen traitor and continued to kick him. "Don't you dare show your face to me you bastard! I hate you!"

Their friends banded together and stopped the rampaging Wade leading him away to their fallen friend.

Rosalinda approached the beaten Mari and chuckled at him.

"See I told you. He'll always choose me. You think I don't know how you look at him? You think I don't know you love him? Too bad. He doesn't love you." Rosalinda laughed while walking away.

Mari left bloody and bruised was approached by his bodyguard whom he thought he had escaped from, before he lost consciousness.
