3 weeks before the robbery

"You're a terrible liar... just so you know" A blonde woman in the drivers seat of a black 2017 bmw 5 series said sending a halfhearted glare through the windscreen mirror to the passenger who smirked in response.

"I'm not lying ahem" The passenger in question replied ending with the fakest most ridiculous cough as though trying to prove her point.

"Right of course, maybe you need to go to the doctor, that cough sounded dangerous" The blonde laughed "why you gotta be a liar like me hmm?"

"I had gym class. I hate gym class" The passenger simply shrugged.

"Well before I was called to pick you up I was on my way to meet Beth, Annie and Ruby so now you're gonna have to come with me" The driver spoke just as she pulled the car to a stop outside of a familiar diner.

"Can I get a milkshake?" The passenger asked raising a dark eyebrow telling the driver she'd make the whole experience difficult if she didn't get her milkshake.

"One" The blonde promised and then she pulled the keys out of the ignition and got out of the car, the passenger following shortly after her.

The passenger ran up to the driver as she walked towards the diner. The 27 year old blonde wrapping a delicate arm around the 11 year olds shoulders in affection.

"Are you really mad mom?" The young brunette asked looking up to her mother.

For a moment the blonde hesitated, she looked down to her daughter taking in for a moment just how different the young girl was to her on the outside with her beautiful Hispanic looks, the light brown skin, dark hair and eyes to match and yet just how similar her personality was to her own "no, I just want you to be better than me and this is the sort of shit I pulled all the time when I was your age" she said softly.

The younger girl stops walking for a second looking at her mom, sadness in her eyes until the older blonde gently pulls a piece of the younger girls hair and smiles. Together the two of them walk toward the diner and the mom pulls the door open holding it for her daughter to walk through before she walks through herself.

When the older woman catches sight of her three friends she pulls a twenty dollar bill from her pocket and hands it over to her daughter "go over to the counter and get your milkshake" she says nudging the girl over. Without hesitation the young girl takes the money and runs off and the older woman walks over to her friends.

"Hey! What's Sofia doing here?" Beth asks as the blonde approaches the table and takes a seat next to Annie.

"She's playing hooky. Got a call half an hour ago and she'd gone to the school nurse with a cough and temperature. Lil' brat snuck into the teachers lounge to fill up a hot water bottle and used that to rise her temperature. She just didn't want to go to Gym class." Lo supplied.

"What a legend." Annie scoffed with a laugh.

"Beth was just telling us how her card got denied" Ruby cuts in looking to the blonde who had just sat down.

"What happened?" Lo asks her eyes widening, a smirk playing on her plump lips.

"I was halfway through my wax" Beth explains "now I'm very uneven"

"No" Lo whispers "girl imma set you up at one of my places, it's on me" she says, Beth looks like she's about to deny her but Lo has already pulled her cell out and started typing "there done. Tomorrow 11am, get your nails done too while your there."

"I can't accept that" Beth shakes her head.

"Honey, you deserve it. With four rugrats and Dean as a husband you deserve some pampering, God knows I need the pampering and I've only got Sofia." The blonde insists leaving no room for argument.
