It's a dark cloudy winter evening, yet it doesn't seem like it will be raining anytime soon. A silhouette of a girl can be seen, walking down the path ever so slowly. It's a brilliant day today! It's her 18th birthday, Y/n was very excited. She is out from her house because she wants to give her parents more time to surprise her with birthday cakes with big smiles on their face, just like how they celebrated her previous birthdays.

She knows her family isn't wealthy, so she never expected presents other than three slices of cake, the exact amount they will need, just enough for one another to taste. She never felt sad, when she couldn't have expensive presents, she think the only things that is important is "love" itself. She loved her parents dearly, after all they care for each other and there was rarely a fight, Y/n was born in a very loving family.

However, when she arrived at her house, she noticed, another car, perhaps, father invited someone over to celebrate her birthday. Little did she know, it was a person alright, but leaving out the birthday part. Arriving at her doorstep, she heard a clang* and the house seems very loud and noisy. Picking up the noise, its strangely familiar, her parents shoutings can be heard outside at the doorstep. Curiosity, however, made her wanting to listen to their conversation. She grabbed her keys from under the mat and with no noise, opened the door, she quietly walk to the stairs and hid behind the wall. She realized that, there was another voice that was unrecognizable and rather unpleasant. She was confused on about the conversation up until she heard the words "...divorce...". Out of shock, she came out of her hiding place and gasped, audible that made her parents turn to her direction in shock. They had a funny face, mother is crying, her face seems angry, and father...well he seems displeased. In a low voice filled with somewhat pity, the unknown visitor told Y/n to go upstairs to her room. She knew, she knows that father, had found a new love. She just know it when the word "divorce" came out his mouth.

Lightnings crackled through the night sky, then the night began to rain heavily, like the sky also feel sad for what had happened. Y/n doesn't understand, not even one bit, they were such loving family but she had a feeling everything will change after this night. She crawled onto her bed forming a ball shape, clutching onto herself and with trembled whispers, telling herself that everything will be fine. It's her birthday today, it's supposed to be filled with happiness and smiles, yet she couldn't raise a single muscle to make her mouth form a smile. She was upset, angry even, angry at herself on not knowing her family had been different before the fight today happened. Annoyed that she didn't noticed that her parents have been distancing themselves with each other for a while now. She began to worry about what life will be when father leaves them. Of course, she wouldn't want to go with father, its father that was wrong to have found another person to call "love". She wouldn't want to have a new mother either. She made up her mind to follow her mother, no matter what.

"Ah...I didn't get to blow out candles this year...", Y/n sighed after wiping her painfully, hot tears in a cold stormy night. As if the sky heard her woes, the rain stopped, and the clouds faded away. In replacement, tons of shooting stars began to fall from the sky, painting the dark night forcefully with colours. Y/n walked toward the window, she closed her eyes and clasped her hands, with a sorrowful and trembling whispers she voiced out her wish:

"I wish for happiness..."

"I wish for happiness..."

"I wish for happiness..."

"I wish for happiness..."

"I wish for happiness..."

"I wish for happiness..."

"I wish for happiness..."
