UNDESTINED

Chapter 4 : Hope?

Zeus is now determined to find his elder sister and take her back home. But first he needs to rest because he knows that his journey is going to be tough. He dreamt of a house burning down in front of his very own eyes. He doesn't know why but he cried. Zeus woke up with tears running down his face. He's confused but brushed it off and continuing to take a bath.

Diana is starving for days. Her body is getting thinner and thinner every day. Although she finds food. The amount that she gets is not enough to fill her belly. Every time she gets an opportunity to get food she does. While walking Diana encountered a tall muscular man. "Excuse me..." Diana softly said. "Oh. My apologies" the man said in a very deep voice. While Diana is walking away the man shouted "Wait!". Diana stopped briefly and took a quick glimpse behind her to make sure that she's the one that's being called. And to her surprise she is. The man ran towards Diana with a sandwich on one of his hand. He offered the sandwich to Diana. Diana is thanked the man for his kindness and quickly left.

Zeus asked his mother of how the necklace looked like, and she gave Zeus a piece of paper that has a drawing of how it looked like. Zeus is astonished at the design. He puts the paper inside of his bag. He then asked his father to aid him a carriage for his quest to find her sister but King Dmitri said "My son, I apologize for telling you this but, your sister is dead...", "I do not believe you father. I will find my elder sister!" Zeus said. "Very well, Goodluck finding your sister". With King Dmitri being supportive he started a movement that will find Liwanag. Every Soldier was given a copy of how the necklace look.

Months has passed and there's no luck in finding Liwanag/Diana. But there are people who saw a beggar walking around with that type of necklace. Though it's a punch to the moon, the find for Liwanag won't stop.

Sleeping on the street, out in the open is dangerous. Unfortunately, Diana caught Tuberculosis. Every now and then she coughs up blood, and if this doesn't get medical attention it will get worse and worse until she dies. But Diana knows that there's still hope, she knows that if she fight's she will be triumphant. Diana is more determined than ever. She walks down a friendly neighborhood and asks for food. Luckily all of them gave her some food that could last for months.

With the bright idea she resides at a nearby lake nearby the friendly town. She does labor in return for food or medicine. Her house is cozy although it's built poorly but Diana is really comfortable and satisfied of what she had. The town really loved Diana, and Diana really loved everyone that lives there. She couldn't ask for more. Slowly her Tuberculosis has healed. Even though the townspeople loved Diana they didn't knew that she has a necklace because she hid it inside her home, inside a box with a lock on it.

While at work a thief spotted Diana's home and began searching for any object he can sell for money. While searching he found the box that contains the necklace, but there is a lock on it. Quickly he equips his lockpick and began lockpicking the lock. Minute's passed and Bingo! He unlocked the box. He is astounded "This will sell for a high price!!!" he said while quickly running away from Diana's house.

When Diana, got back from her home she felt defeated. She cried her heart out. "Out of all the things that I've had! WHY!!" She cried out of frustration, "That's the only thing that I treasured!" She cried once more. Diana Grieved all night, she lost her appetite and slept the night off in torment and agony.

Meanwhile Zeus is exhausted from finding Diana. "Any luck?" said Queen Dimitrescu, "No, mother" He said in a tired manner. "But we are finding people who saw her" Zeus added. Queen Dimitrescu hugged Zeus tightly and said "It's alright dear, we're going to find your sister". Zeus gained some energy from her mother's embrace. He continued heading towards the bathroom that Sebastian prepared for him. While heading to the bathroom he stumbled upon his big brother Kry. "Any luck finding her Zeus?" Kry said tiredly, "No Big Brother. You?" Zeus said. "Me neither..." Kry replied. Both of them felt defeated and slept the night off.

The next day comes, and Diana started her day with a cup of misery. While at work she finds the necklace on Lady Llyanna; She is one of the richest people in town and one of the kindest. "Mrs. Llyanna, I beg you please sell me that necklace! I will do anything just to get that necklace back!" Diana says while begging for Lady Llyanna. "Oh dear, is this really yours?" Lady Llyanna asked politely. "Yes Mrs. Llyanna it's my only treasure since both of my Parents died" Diana Said. Quickly Lady Llyanna offered Diana to serve her as a maid and in return she will give her the necklace and a place to live in. Diana is very thankful towards Lady Llyanna, and promised to never break her trust.

Zeus on the other hand is still trying to find Diana. He visited all of 5 towns inside the kingdom except for one. He made his way over to the friendliest town of all. The town of Peaches. He asked left and right if they saw a necklace just like the one on the paper that he has. All of them pointed in different directions and when Zeus asked who has it, all of them answered with different names but the most prominent one is the name of Lady Llyanna who bought it from a nearby stall.
