brooklyns pov

i sat down on the park bench. i opened my book and started reading down the page.

"fuck." i looked up and watched as a guy sat down next to me. a little too close to me. we made eye contact and i quickly looked back at my book.

"whatcha reading?" i showed him the cover of the book, without talking and continued reading.

"sounds boring." i ignored him and pretended to read.

"im corbyn, what's your name?"

"brooklyn"

"hi brooklyn" i ignored him.

"i just ran 5 miles." i rolled my eyes as i saw water droplets slowly hit the book pages. i shut the book and looked up at him.

"do you need something?"

"just trying to make friends, i just moved here, today."

"what area do you live in?" he told me and my eyes widened.

"in the brick apartments?"

"yes...why?"

"that's where i live."

"oh shit, no way."

"yeah, well i better go. it's raining pretty hard." i got up and he did to.

"let's walk back together."

"uhm..."

"come on, it'll be fun."

"fine."

at brooklyns apartment

we sat and talked on my couch for awhile.

"before i go...can i get your number? just incase." after i gave it to him we walked to my door.

as i went to open the door he grabbed my hand and pushed me against it. he smashed his lips onto mine and his hands went slowly down my body.

"what the fuck?" i pushed him off of me and opened the door.

"brooklyn i-."

"that's all you wanted, isn't it?"

"well-."

"fuck you." i pushed him out of my apartment

the next day

i walked out of my apartment complex and saw corbyn walking back. i pretend i didn't notice him and walked the opposite direction.

"brooklyn!" he ran my way.

i sighed and turned around.

"what do you want?"

"im sorry...i thought you wanted to. i won't do it again."

"it's fine, im sorry if i put out the wrong message."

"you didn't. im just used to girls always wanting me."

"im glad i could humble you." we both smiled.

"can i take you to dinner?"

"tonight?"

"yes."

"id love to go to dinner with you."

"meet me here at 7."

"will do." i smiled and turned around.

"where are you going?"

"im taking the book to a publisher."

"you write books?"

"i hope to." i turned back around.

"can i read some of them?"

"if you really want to, i guess."

"alright. meet me here, 7pm sharp."

"see ya then" i smiled.

"have a good day beautiful." he smiled and we parted ways.

that night

i rushed through my closet. looking for something to wear.
finally, i decided on a lavender dress. i loosely curled my hair and put on light makeup.
by the time i was done it was 6:58. i rushed to the lobby and saw corbyn standing there waiting.

"hi." i smiled and grabbed his arm.

"hi gorgeous."
