((Ok, I hate using OC's in stories like this, but they're just to give Mabel and Dipper some more friends. Also since the series is still ongoing, it won't be as accurate as I'd like it to be so please don't kill me... Alright enjoy anyways :3))
Dipper's POV
"Ah! Crap, stop stop stop!!"
I tried pouring the solution out of the beaker but it was too late. The loud bang and something wet splattered on my face. I coughed and sighed.
"Alright... Test five is a failure... Just as everything else is..." I mumbled, throwing the now shattered beaker into the trash.
I flopped onto my bed and groaned. Being back home after my summer in Gravity Falls seemed so weird... I thought being home would be a great time to forget and be a normal kid again, but I was wrong. The memories just kept coming back and it was tearing me apart. Gravity Falls was haunting my every waking and sleeping moments and it was killing me.
Mabel wasn't fairing any better. Being away from Grenda and Candy seemed to really take a toll on her. She even missed Pacifica! She mostly just moped around and wrote letters to her friends back in Gravity Falls. She didn't seem to be bothered by what happened there, and I envied her for that. She could just brush it off as a memory while it haunted me all the time.
I sighed and rubbed my eye weakly. Being back in school was hard, but I was pretty smart so I was getting into the swing of things pretty easily. I heard someone knocking on my door and it flew open. Mabel stood there with a brand new sweater on. She was grinning.
"Come on Dipper!! We're gonna miss the bus!" She said, running off.
I rolled my eyes and packed my stuff up quickly.
"Wait up!" I called, running after my twin.
I followed Mabel downstairs and into the kitchen. She tossed me a poptart and I put it in my backpack. I'd eat it at school.
"Bye mom, bye dad!" We yelled in unison as we ran to the front door.
The buses always got there super early so we always had fun rushing to make sure we didn't miss it. The bus thankfully didn't miss us and we got on quickly. Mabel smiled at the bus driver.
"Good morning Larry!" She said happily.
The bus driver grumbled and we went and found seats. Mabel sat by some girls she had gotten close to and I sat down by some of my 'friends'. I had met them a few days after our summer break and they were pretty cool guys. They're names were Anthony and Kyle. Kyle smiled at me.
"Hey Dipper! Did you finish your part of the project yet?" He asked.
I sighed and shook my head.
"No, I wanted to but I had to get on the bus. It's almost done though." I said.
Anthony grinned and leaned on me casually.
"We're getting a new student today." He said softly.
I blinked and pulled the poptart out of my backpack. I opened it and took a bite out of it.
"Huh... Wonder who it'll be..." I mumbled.
Anthony smiled.
"Some people say he's from Gravity Falls, where you said all that weird stuff happened."
I blinked and looked at Mabel. She was talking about a new sweater she had gotten.
"Huh... That's interesting..." I mumbled.
Kyle blinked nervously. He always had a problem with anxiety.
"D-do you think it'll be a bad dude...?"
I shook my head and leaned back.
"I'm sure they'll be fine... If anything they'll be an oblivious citizen of Gravity Falls and that their parents had to transfer jobs. I don't think they'll be a bad person..."
Kyle looked convinced but I couldn't help but feel my insides churn.
I'm trying to forget what happened... Why is it trying to worm it's way back into my life again?!
End of chapter 1 ((I'm sorry it's so short... I just wanted to get it done for you guys))
