SCENE 1The scene opens with a young girl, most likely in her teenage years, is sitting in a chair. The chair is in the middle of the room. The girl is motionless. She is wearing tattered and worn clothing, she appears to be unkempt and looks tired and drained. The room is completely bare, with no decorations on the walls or widows or doors. She is trapped.
The girl begins to stir, slowly moving each of her limbs and looking toward the East wall and slowly raises her head up the wall. Taking a deep breath, she struggles to stand up.
Girl -Sitting back down.
1,252. Day number 1,252.
From Behind, someone appears, slowly entering.
VISION 1
1,253 Actually, don't forget that day you slept through. That was such a boring day.
GIRL
That was my favorite day, 24 hours without one of you to bother me. How about we try and beat that record?
VISION 1
Oh! you jest. I think you actually enjoy us.
GIRL
Why would I possibly enjoy you things popping out nowhere, at any time, with no warning, and no explanation on how I got here.
VISION 2
Well.. who else would you talk to? Certainly, I am more fun than being left alone in the dark. Surrounded by walls covered with stains from who knows what, no idea what day it is, when the sun shines. Every day the room gets just a little bit smaller. Loosing hope of ever leaving...
GIRL
That's Enough! Why cant you leave me alone?
VISION 1
Tell you what, I will leave you alone, IF, you can tell me why you are here. Deal?
GIRL
I tell you every day, I don't know why I am here or who brought me here.
VISION 1
Okay, then what if you told me who your family is? Silence. Nothing? Can you give me just one name?
GIRL
I don't remember.
VISION 1
Well, it looks like our favorite contestant has lost all of the rounds! Lets see what she lost........the last hope of freedom! But we do have a participation prize for you. Announcer, what does she win? Change in voice. A lifetime supply of......pain and misery brought to you by yours truly!
GIRL
Why do you even care?
VISION1
Who says I care?
GIRL
Then go away.
VISION 1
I'm not going anywhere. See I'm in your little brain. Even when you don't see me, I am here. I hear everything. I hear when you are crying, laughing. I know all of your thoughts. All the ones you wouldn't dare say out loud. But most of all I know how lonely you are. I know you don't know who you are, or if any loves you.
GIRL
Does that matter to you? You are not even real, why would you care about how I feel?
