JOSIE'S POV:
"It's okay, I needed to hear it," her voice comes soft.
Josie looks at Hope, whose skin looks yellow because of the brightness of the campfire in front of them. Her hair so soft, and much lighter in color than this morning. Her face looks relaxed, and calm.
But Josie doesn't get any time to admire her.
Hope turns to her, causing Josie to look away, embarrassed. Why is she embarrassed?
It's just Hope.
Yet, Josie can't help but get flustered, feeling caught.
Josie tries to hide her embarrassment, by going for a calm look. She hopes her long hair blocks her face. She pulls her lips tight, pushing away the embarrassment.
"Just like you need to hear that it's okay to let yourself be happy," Hope continues, referring very obviously to Josie's girlfriend, Finch.
Josie had forgotten about the werewolf she had left at home. For some reason, the thought of her annoys Josie. There is no need to bring her up at this moment. She resists the urge to roll her eyes and instead just looks away, shaking her head as Hope continues.
"Even if you're the only one of us who is," Hope finishes.
But she isn't.
She can act like she's happy all she wants, but deep down, she knows she isn't. Finch is great. Finch is...nice? Finch is funny, sometimes. Finch is really hot. But, Finch gets mad really fast. She has anger issues. But Josie can't blame her. She's a werewolf. All werewolves are known to be aggressive.
But not Hope.
Hope has been a werewolf for a shorter time than Finch, yet Hope has never been mad at her. Even when she admitted that she burnt Hope's room, Hope didn't get mad. Even when she constantly insulted her when she had gone dark, Hope didn't get mad. She never even raised her voice.
Josie squints her eyes tight, trying not to think about how Hope treats Josie much better, than her actual girlfriend.
She shakes her head, trying to push her thoughts away.
Finch is her girlfriend, and Hope is her best friend.
She can't compare them.

HOPE'S POV:
"It's okay," Hope reassures Josie.
And it is.
"I needed to hear it," she breathes out.
And she did.
It was partially her fault. How could she not have known that she was dating a made up version of her own boyfriend. But she was happy. She was happy with the made up version way better than she ever was with Landon.
She drifts herself back, away from her thoughts.
"Just like you need to hear-" she looks at the brunette sitting next to her. She notices how the other girl's head darts away the second their eyes meet.
Huh, weird.
"-that's it okay to let yourself be happy" her eyes unintentionally makes its way down Josie's body. She snaps them back up the second she realizes her mistake.
Her eyes grow big, partially because of the conversation, but also because of embarrassment stirring up her chest.
She pushes it away, hoping the other girl didn't notice.
She decides to look away as she continues, "Even if you're the only one of us who is". She manages to roll her eyes, at the thought of Josie being the only one with a girlfriend.
Finch.
Something about the thought of Josie's girlfriend annoys her. Finch might make Josie happy(which is hard to believe), but she isn't right for her. Finch is rude, aggressive and always angry. And Josie...
Josie is soft, nice, and the best person Hope knows.
But, she's been hurt.
Everyone she's ever been with has either hurt her, or left her, or both.
Josie deserves someone better than Finch. Someone who would never hurt her, or leave her. Someone who makes her truly happy.
Hope swallows hard, afraid of continuing her thoughts.
She knows exactly where they're going.
But, she'll never reach there.
