"You really want to be first line, don't you?" I asked while watching how Scott fixed his lacrosse stick.
"I'm telling you, this year I will be first line"
I raised both eyebrows and he gave me a bad look.
"What? I didn't say anything" I stated raising both hands. "Okay, I trust you Scott. Besides, this year you grew like a meter and now you have biceps."
He smiled.
"That's why you're my best friend." He smiled and went to the bathroom to wash his face.
"I know and I'm the best"
He laughed as he turned on the tap.

"Did you hear that?" I asked and he turned his gaze and frowned in confusion.

Scott and I cautiously stepped out onto his porch.
"I'm sure I heard rustling coming from here." I assured walking slowly with the bat in my hand.
I walked to the edge of the porch to see if there was anything or anyone outside.
Out of nowhere I heard more rustling and then saw a figure hanging from the ceiling.
"Aaaaa! " I yelled.
"Aaaaa! Hit him!" Scott yelled.
"Aaaaaaaa!"
I stopped still frightened when I recognized the scream. I knew who it was.
"Stiles what the hell are you doing?"
"I think I had a minor heart attack" I murmured putting my hand on my chest still with the bat raised.
"You both weren't answering your phones. Why do you have a bat?"
He looked at me and I sighed.
"Because I thought you were a serial killer or a wolf"
"There are no wolves in California, Lia"
I put the bat down and we both looked at him waiting for an explanation.
"Look, I know it's late but you gotta hear this." He explained with a bit of excitement on his tone.
