"Right okay," Jeremy said." This is Morrigan, she is someone we can trust, she'll be able to help us with our problem"
She walked back to her original seat and sat down, this time there was no protest. The group of men gathered together, " Wow, team huddle everyone" She made sure to say it loud enough for them to hear. Turning away from them, she replayed the memory that lingered in her mind. Was it a memory? It felt so real, could it be—" No don't be stupid, he died, you saw him die. Get a fucking grip on yourself. I thought you were over him?" She scolded herself. She took a deep breath and tried focusing on the people in the room. Morrigan turned at the mention of her name,
"Morrigan as in goddess of death?" It was Anthony that had asked the question" Have any close relations with her by any chance"
Jeremy stepped in before she could answer the question, she gave him a questioning look but he turned back to the rest of the group and continued on with his speech.
"There is a reason all of you are here today," Jeremy said diverting the attention back to him, he pulled a scroll out of a container and held it up to show everyone "Fuck" Morrigan whispered, or so she thought, all heads turned to her yet again. This time Jeremy gave her a confused look
" You know what this is?" She was baffled "You don't?" The question came out more sarcastic than she intended but he dismissed it. The other figures in the room all had the same confusion radiating through them. Morrigan turned her back on them, took a few deep breaths, and turned back, stepping closer to Jeremy and the object he held in his hand. "How did you find this?" She was being serious, Morrigan was never this serious, he knew that this meant that what she would say would be important. "I didn't find it, I came home one day and it was sitting on my desk in my office, nothing else but this scroll."
She turned to the remaining people in the room." Do any of you know what this is?" They just stared at her without answering" I guess that's a no" She whispered under her breath. She hesitantly took the scroll from Jeremy and gestured for them all to take a seat." This is important, sit down and I will tell you." They didn't make any movement towards the table" You expect us to trust you, we don't know you" She felt hot anger flow through her body and she didn't know why, before she could help herself she had already grabbed Anthony by the collar of his shirt." Do you want to fucking die an excruciating death? I can make that happen, take a fucking seat" He gulped as her hand only clenched tighter around his shirt. Ace stepped forward putting his hand on hers" Let him go" Her hand felt hot under his touch and she released her grip on Anthony, stepping away from both of them. She silently made her way to the table they followed behind her in silence, which she was grateful for, because her mind was racing, her hand on fire from his touch." He is making you look weak, and making you feel and remember things you said you wouldn't. Stay away from him". Her thoughts were all over the place.
Shaking out the tension in her shoulders she puts on a stoic facade. Once all of them had taken a seat, she stood at the head of the table, pacing back and forth. It was silent as they watched her, no one knowing what to do. "Yes, I'm going to tell you just give me a minute." The answer was directed at Michael. "Did she just read my mind?" before he could be answered she slammed the scroll down on the table.
"The Prophecy of Anubis."
