IN THE SHIP, HALF AN HOUR AFTER THE TRANSPORTER TEAM HAD LEFT

"Oh yay! Incoming delivery!" Jisoo cheered and plopped a teleporter onto the counter. The capsule was emitting a blue light and its sides had extended and pulled apart to allow the streaming in of particles.

Jennie hummed distractedly, pouring a layer of the silver gel that Lisa had earlier on been so fascinated with into one of the containment boxes for the Xerex. She spared a second to glance at the item then whistled in appreciation. "Sweet toy."

"Yep!" Jisoo popped the p in the word and smirked proudly. "Fixed it up good myself. Jin bought it for me."

Jennie frowned in confusion though her hands never stopped working. "He bought you a spoilt item?"

"Oh, I like them spoilt. Then I can have fun fixing them. Oh yay! Fried chicken!" She pulled out a stick and started chewing happily on them like a child. "Nothing beats fried chicken from JYP's market."

Jennie shrugged, used to the older girl's random thoughts by now. "Aren't you supposed to be helping me with this?"

"Didn't I already? When I helped you bring the boxes up," Jisoo pointed out, not a little bit guilty for lying down on the infirmary bed and snacking like a boss. "Besides, I know you. You like perfection, and my clumsy hands ain't gonna be spreading that glitter in a perfect line the way you're doing."

Jennie snorted, "Chu, you're a mechanic. Pray tell me how your hands are clumsy."

"Point!" Jisoo lifted her stick in approval. "But." She paused to swallow then very deliberately swiped her hand with the chicken on the stick. "Oops. Oily hands. I really want to help but I don't want to cause some chemical reaction in that beautiful goo. Who knows what can explode in here and god knows the ship needs its medical bay."

Jennie smiled in amusement, entirely unaffected. She had worked with Jisoo for a while now and she was one of her favourite persons onboard. Sure, Jisoo liked to relax a little more than she was used to but when push came to shove, the woman knew to pick up the shovel and work hard. Besides, Jisoo was hilarious and Jennie had never met anyone who could make her laugh so hard or anyone who was so gifted with her hands. Jisoo was a genius when it came to fixing anything electronic.

"Oooh more delivery!" Jisoo perked up when she saw the transporter light up again. She jumped off her seat and strode over to remove the packages. "More chicken! Oh booooo, these are for that fatty Louis, you and Rosie." She swiped her hand through the holo-note that had been tagged to the sticks. "Urgh. Does that mean I have to walk over to deliver it to them. That defeats the purpose of me having gotten a teleporter in the first place."

"Technically, Jin got it." Jennie piped up helpfully.

"Oh boo you too! What's this?" Jisoo looked at the device in interest when it hummed for the third time. "Oh yay! Milk! I love milk!"

She selected one of the banana-flavoured one and opened it to take a big satisfied gulp. "This is delicious! Want one?" she offered.

Jennie shook her head, still focused on her work. "Maybe later. Do you want to put those in the fridge first? They're going to turn bad if we leave them out."

"Smart!" Jisoo praised before doing just that. "And here, nobody's going to have access to my food. Someone has been moving my stuff in the main fridge. Even worse! I swear someone has been stealing my food! Can you believe it? We have a thief on the ship!"

Jennie chuckled, "Can't you use Dalgom to keep watch in the kitchen?"

"I did that." Jisoo snarled, "But this thief is a smart one. Anyway, enough about me. You've been here for what? Half a year? How are you finding the crew so far?"
