Jowy (POV)

The first week of school is usually pretty busy for everyone. There are always new schedules, teachers and new classmates. The school usually has a light and fun aura because nobody is really stressed yet and everyone is kind of just figuring things out and trying to see how the year will go.

My first week went pretty fast and was uneventful. It was mostly filled with seeing my new teachers and classmates, catching up with everyone about their holiday and getting to know Charles more when we would walk home together. J stopped walking with us after Monday because practice started running later than usual and she told me she felt bad if we waited for her long so we should just go ahead.

It was bittersweet hearing her say this because I knew she was finishing this year and so there was a lot of work for her to do. Don't get me wrong I was so proud of my girl, but the fact that she was leaving after this was looming over my head.

Also the fact that after our Europe tour trip we wouldn't see each other for months at a time, was scaring the shit out of me. However I decided that I would think about that when the time came.

Waking up on Saturday i woke up to the sound of pans being thrown around. I looked at the clock, and it was 10am. I knew that Mom and Dad had left early so the only one causing that havoc was Eli and I was honestly more than pissed that he had interrupted my deep sleep.

I started stomping to the kitchen, determined to give Eli an earful, but as I rounded the corner to the kitchen I smelt my favorite onion and cheese sandwiches before I even saw them.

This excited me because Eli only made these when he was in a cooking mood. I don't know if I can call it a cooking mood if that's the only thing he knew how to cook but I wasn't about to complain.

"Good morning my dear loving brother"

"Cut the crap, I made you some already and Jewel said text her. She came over earlier." Eli said as he handed me a plate. He then went to sit on the counter looking down at his phone.

Looking at Eli, I realize as annoying as he is I wouldn't want another brother.

"Thanks and I will."

These sandwiches always made me nostalgic. Probably cause Eli was almost never around, because of how far his University was from home. He only came back on the holidays or during summer. Usually we would try to make the most of his time around but the time was never enough, atleast for me.

He was scheduled to leave next week Friday and I was dreading that. The house always became more silent when he was in Uni.

I started devouring my food while trying to mentally plan what I would do during the day. I knew I had to do my laundry, clean my room, maybe try doing some class work so that I could be ahead since I had no homework. I could also play with-

"Finish up Choko, there's somewhere I want us to go."

Well there goes everything I was trying to plan. Another thing I liked about Eli was his spontaneousness. We would always do things that I would never do when alone.

Finishing up my food, I go back to my room. I change out of my pajamas and get into the bathroom. Standing under my shower I smile remembering a conversation I had this week with Charles as we were walking back home.

On Thursday....

"You know this school isn't half bad, it's making me start liking school" a disgusted expression takes over his face as this comes out of his mouth.

"Oh the horror." Rolling my eyes I added,
"there's more to school than hating it and wanting to get out."

"Don't tell me you want to become a school teacher! And here I thought you were dreaming of becoming a stripper or something"  He looked at me, feigning shock.
