Catherine and I got out of the Mustang and walked around the carnival. There really wasn't much to do so we went to go get ice cream. In line to get ice cream we discussed what flavors we should get and what toppings when I heard a drunk sounding voice.

"Hey, hot baby." a guy in a navy blue button-up and yellow sweater hollered at me. He had a arrogant smirk on his face and smelled of liquor. It made me want to throw-up everything I had in me.

"Please leave me alone. I'm not looking for a makeout session," I calmly stated as I struggled to stop myself from freaking out. Catherine's eyes were huge and the dark haired boy with tanned skin in front of us in line turned around to watch what was going on, I guess. I was shaking as the guy in the button-up and his friends came closer to me and before I knew it, one of them was even beginning to lift up my dress until I backed up accidentally into that boy in line. He caught me and I gasped as I heard him speak.

"Y'all best cut it out," he said with a serious tone.

The guy and his buddies who were harrasing me stopped for a moment, and then continued as if the dark haired boy didn't say anything.

"I mean it." he continued.

The boy in navy turned to him. "Oh yeah, what are you going to do, greaser?".

"I don't plan on doin' nothin' if you stop."

"Make me."

The boy in the navy took a swing at the dark haired boy, but he dodged it and promptly hit the guy in self-defense. After only a few beginning seconds of the fight, two workers from the ice cream stand ran out and scared off Mr. Arrogant and his group. I explained what happened to the workers and they quickly went back to there business, which wasn't surprising, the high class get off easy in this town. I looked at the dark haired boy from head-to-toe. He sure was cute.

"I'm Johnny, Johnny Cade." the boy spoke up and smiled. Johnny Cade...it suits him.
