Chapter 1: Brand New Job

It was 7:45am and Ham was getting ready to leave his home to go to work at 8. He got in the car and drove to work. When he arrived his boss was standing outside waiting for him. "Abraham, I have had enough of you arriving late to work and making customers complain", said his boss in a stern voice. Ham looked at his watch. It said 7:59am. He wasn't even late. He looked back at his boss when he said "Abraham, you're fired". With that, Ham walked back to his car and drove home. When he got home he changed out of his work clothes into more comfortable clothes. He laid in bed and turned the TV on. While he was watching TV, he was thinking about getting a new job. With that thought, an ad showed on TV. It was to become a ghost hunter. It said a lot of money was available with a successful job. A phone number appeared on screen. He grabbed his phone and dialed the number. A man answered the phone. "Hello, Lachlan speaking", said the man.

Ham: Hi, Can I join the ghost hunting squad

Lachlan: Ok, do you have any expertise in ghost hunting

Ham: I have played a ghost hunting game before, does that count.

Lachlan: Sure, anyway, are you a social person

Ham: I would say so

Lachlan: Well then, welcome to the team.

Ham hung up the phone. He just found a job after being fired from his old one. He was about to get some breakfast when he got a text message. It was that Lachlan guy.

Lachlan: Hey, so we are going to need you to come to the base to meet everyone and learn everything about what to do in a ghost hunting adventure at about 2.

Ham was very quick to reply

Ham: Okay, just tell me the address and I'll be there

Ham left his house and hopped in his car. Usually he would have McDonalds for breakfast but he was just fired from there so he didn't. Instead he went to KFC for some Nuggets and Gravy. Once he ordered, he checked his phone for the address and realized it was quite close to his house. Once  he got his food he drove home. He walked into his apartment and started to eat when his phone buzzed again. It was another text message. It was Lachlan again.

Lachlan: Hi, so about arriving at 2. We might need you in 30 minutes. 

Ham was shocked. He didn't know what was happening but he finished his Nuggets and hopped into his car and drove to the address. When he arrived at the house he was shocked. It was the biggest house he had ever seen. It was almost like a mansion. When he got out he walked up and knocked on the door. A voice came through and asked. "What is your purpose". With shocked he replied "I'm here for the ghost hunting job". After that the door opened. He walked and met a guy. He was tall, and had quite curly hair. "Hi, you must be the new guy, my name is Lachlan", said Lachlan. "So that's what he looks like", Ham thought. Come on in, I show you to everyone. Ham followed Lachlan into a big dining room. When he walked in 4 other people were waiting. 

Lachlan: Everyone meet...what's your name again

Ham: Ham

Lachlan: Everyone meet Ham, the new ghost hunting recruit.

With nervousness, Ham waved to everyone. "Anyway, we called you earlier as we just got a new exploration and our main ghost hunter, Ethan, has a broken leg", Lachlan said. Ham was confused, if Ethan had a broken leg, why not use the other guy. Lachlan already knew the expression on his. "Jack can't be apart of the group because he is our truck driver and he also has Phasmophobia (Fear of Ghosts)", said Lachlan. Ham was shocked that he was able to guess his expression but I guess that is a natural thing for them. "Ok guys, we got a call. Seems it's on Willow Street, 234 Willow Street to be exact", said Lachlan. After he announced the place, everyone got the their items while Ham just stood there. Being completely new to this, he just followed Lachlan. Once everyone was ready everyone started to head downstairs where he saw the truck. He was about to head in when Lachlan stopped him. "We aren't going now, we just get everything ready so we don't forget any item. We don't leave until like 8-9pm", said Lachlan. 

Time Skip (7:30pm)

It was 7:30pm and Ham was relaxing on the couch getting to know Jack more when an alarm went off. Ham started to freak out but everyone else was cool with it. After it stopped Lachlan walked in. "Ham, Jack, get ready, we are leaving", Lachlan said. Ham followed them downstairs into the truck where Phileas and Penina were. Ham watched Jack hop into the front of the truck and start the engine. After about 30 minutes of driving the truck stopped and so did the engine.  They were there. Phileas opened the truck door and Ham's first ghost hunting adventure was about to begin.
