years ago, a pair of twins were born. their mother and father were very happy to finally meet their babies, a little boy and girl, deciding to bestow the name mackenzie and charlie to them. the name mackenzie itself had many different meanings, but their parents decided that 'beautiful princess' suited their little girl well, and charlie would have the meaning 'silly person' because he caused many laughs and wonderful moments to share since his birth.
charlie and mackenzie's mother was on the verge of being infertile. it was a miracle that she was blessed with children of her own, even more so that she had twins. she had adopted her own kids but when she found out she was miraculously pregnant, she wanted to have these children of her own flesh and blood. she was so joyous and proud to finally be able to carry life of her own into this world. however, the twins had a rough journey leaving the hospital on the way to their new home.
when the news passed around quickly that the nagabuchi family had miracle twins on the way, everyone was surprised and grateful, except for a select few people who were shocked for a different reason. these select few had terrible intentions, and even staged a car accident that took the mother's life, and soon after, the twins. sadly only the father survived with injuries he soon recovered from and lost his wife and newborn children, but still had a small, broken family at home to raise; two little girls who they adopted through foster care.

precisely four years later, the man who staged the car accident, killing one woman and her two newborn children, established a breakthrough in his research. kenzo ikeda, former scientist and infamous serial killer, brought charlie and mackenzie nagabuchi's souls back to life through the process of biological resurrection. the childrens' souls from heaven mysteriously "vanished" and their family up above has been searching for them since.
there were notably drastic changes within both of ikeda's subjects. first of all, charlie had developed nubs on his back to grow wings, and his hair lost its color and became white, as well as mackenzie's. charlie was given more inhumane traits, such as a tail, horns and wings, where mackenzie gained senses similar to a horned cat. she, as well, grew small nubs on her head to develop horns, but she also had sharper teeth and claws. the two children became experiment 006 and 007 that successfully represented biological traits of demon, human, feline, and other unknown species and lived on to have a dangerous life ahead of them.

kira was notably different emotionally as well after the experiment and developed a mischievous persona as a child, constantly getting herself into situations where she would be at risk of getting killed or kidnapped—which sadly happened often. she acted like a rebellious tennager would towards ikeda, who "raised" them and ordered her around to do his dirty work. this lead her to being a wanted criminal around the age 12 and from what she could remember, she had no life before her. she couldn't remember her parents, or her real name, only kira.. the name her brother gave her as a joke because of her killer personality. however, that soon changed after she was killed being seen out in public one night.
the girl was still sent up to heaven even after everything she had been through. instead of being sent to the gate, she appeared back where she disappeared from years ago in her old home in heaven. kira got to see her heavenly family but was brought to tears for a different reason, mainly because her memories from years ago had resurfaced. her family was so happy to see her, and this led her to believe that they don't know she has done during her time on earth.
however.. one of her brothers in heaven, a seraph, knew everything. he felt conflicted about this information but made the decision to inform the others and leave it up to them to see how kira can redeem herself. after careful consideration, the seraphim ordered malaika to convince her biological brother to lead a better path of judgement in his life to reclaim his rightful place in heaven if he so chooses. (they did this mainly because the seraphim didn't want charlie OR kira damaging heaven's name and figured that this is the easiest way to get her back down on earth willingly to become a fallen angel so she will never be allowed back in heaven.) kira thought that it was up to her to decide her brothers fate, and overall her own as well.
after failing her opportunity countless times, she remains on earth, fearing what would happen if she went back only to inform them that it was impossible to even find her brother. she eventually became cruel and imprudent of heavens name, believing that they are at fault for leaving her in an endless loop of suffering. kira has lived, loved, and lost so much to go anywhere else but earth. but, what will her future lives become of her?
