A Reality better than the Dream

1.- A misunderstanding and a wounded love

Those distant ancient times, unknown in the history, the present races did not exist and no memories have been remained about that previously existing humanity of the Earth. Those old times, three kinds of humans were living on earth. Those who were living thousands of years keeping their youth and health till the very end, those who lived a shorter life (only some centuries), grew old gradually and suffered of illnesses and those who lived only a few decades, growing old and suffering of more illnesses than the second ones, but who were aggressive and uncivilized and were called "barbarians". The very long living ones were called "immortals", although in fact mortals. These had various kingdoms, the majority of which had been gathered in a certain place of earth. These kingdoms were independent, belonged to different races, but they had a same language as their basis in communication with few differences between the local languages. They had formed a kind of union under the control of the emperor, who was the powerful king of the most powerful kingdom, Εmperor Oren. This union was considered necessary, because these immortals, on the one hand, were able to be healthy and young till the end of their lives, not at all afflicted by the age, but, on the other hand, they might die as the rest humans on the battlefields, or under an attack, or because of an accident. Many mortal tribes around them wanted to seize their lands as in every other occasion among humans, so they had often to face the common dangers as all the people did.

The immortals were, generally, more educated and wise than the other ones, but somebody could meet among them also very bad persons, treacherous and ambitious. They, also, had many skills, but they didn't have magic powers, they were just like the other humans, except their longevity and youth.

Emperor Oren's kingdom is located in the north-east area of the empire and has various sources for living. It has borders north and north-east with some dangerous and aggressive short-living barbarian tribes, east with King Bendin's kingdom where the main work of the people is livestock farming, south-east and south with King Iridan's kingdom where the highest and holy mountains of the whole empire are located and its citizens are good warriors and have various sources for living, south and south-west with King Rosdar's kingdom with the endless fields of wheat, west and north-west with King Azan's kingdom with the iron mines and north with King Karendim's kingdom whose citizens are famous merchants, who trade stuff not only from within the empire but also from the rest world. Beyond these ones, mainly under the south borders of these important kingdoms, there are also the rest immortal kingdoms of the empire, but these named ones are those which have boundaries with the emperor's kingdom and are the biggest and most important in the empire. Beyond all this empire, there are other immortal kingdoms dispersed all over the world and the mortal world with those who lived short or very short lives.

The highest immortal and most powerful king in the immortal world is the emperor Oren, who is a very experienced man, in governing, war and politics. He has lived already some thousands of years, but he is very handsome, tall, manly and with long black shiny hair under his waist and looking young as an immortal about 40 years old according to our era's measures. He is a secluded man, although he lives among others, governing his own kingdom and handling the severe problems of the union of the kingdoms, the so called "empire". Many women have adored him, but he, for thousands of years now after his youth, keeps distance from all of them. He has not yet met a woman suitable for him and finds disgusting their manners, plots, ambitions, nonsense and efforts to impress or flatter him in any possible way.
