There was a girl look like lost while looking at her ceiling. She was deep in thought that she doesn't realize her surroundings. This was her when she was thinking something deep in thought. But that soon enough broke the silence by her mother's voice.

"Daughter are you okay?"

Her gaze land on her mom standing at the door. She softly sighs and gets her ass up to sits up straight. "What are you doing there mom? Come in." She pats the space on her bed, saying to sit beside her.

Her mother closes the door behind her softly, a small smile can be seen. She now sits beside her daughter who was looking on the ground.

"Are you still upset because I and your father have not allowed you to go to Seoul alone?"

I sigh. I didn't know why they didn't allow me. I didn't know why my father shouts at me for the first time because of it. Going to Seoul for fun is not my reason. I'm going to Seoul for my studies. I got an email from a university where I would study that I passed my exams.

So I immediately tell my parents that I got to the university where I want to go but after I mentioned to them that the university I want was in Seoul, they suddenly got upset and angry.

"But mom you know I will go to school for my studies. I'm not going there just to waste my time for nothing." I told honestly.

"My daughter I know what's the reason for you to go to Seoul but-"

I cut my mom's word instantly before she told their reason over and over again.

"But what mom?! Your gonna tell me again that something might happen because you both were on not my side? Mom, I'm not a 5-year-old kid anymore, I'm a grown-up woman mom!"

I see my mom flinched because of my sudden raise voice. I see her eyes widened and her mouth was parted slightly.

Shocked can be seen on her face. I admit I felt guilty for raising my voice on her because she was still my parents that need to be respected but I wanted her and dad to know that I am an independent woman.

"We know that y/n but you didn't know what might happen to you, now that you're all alone. We as parents are only worried about our children's safety." My eyes softened at my mother's words after she tell that words to me in her calm voice.

I hold my mom's hands, caressing them. "Mom I know both you and dad were only worried about my safety but as I always said I can handle it, mom."

"Alone?" She asked raising her brows. I hesitate to nod because as I also don't know what's things were coming in my way or what's my future holds. "Yes mom, I'll handle myself. Alone." I said emphasizing the word 'alone.

"If that's what we're making you happy then go, go for it. I'll handle your father too alone." We chuckled.

Dad was a strict kind of person, especially to his child. I understand why he's like that because I'm only their children and I'm a girl. They only have one child and that's me, their only daughter or they called 'princess'.

"Thank you so much, mom." I hugged her and slightly sob. The fact that my mom was so sweet and always baby me like my dad. She finally realized that I will also have my own life, without them someday. It's not like they were now leaving me because I'm now a grown-up woman, but they were still there on my side guiding me.

She notices that I'm crying in her embrace just the thought of it. "Honey, why are you crying?" She asks pulling me away on her embrace. "This is a happy tears mom." I giggled.

"Sure?" I nodded. "I'm one hundred percent sure."

She smiled and get up on my bed. "I'm going now y/n. Sleep now. Your gonna leave tomorrow morning, right?"
