Mitch leaned against a boulder, tail swinging slowly. A few other wolves walked around, waiting for dusk. He recognized some, Heidi was talking to Lorena in low tones, Jamore was growling at Christian, Kiah was bouncing around, everything was normal. A few new wolves were here, a black she-wolf and a silver-white male who didn't look comfortable in his skin. Probably a new change.
Mitch padded over to the new wolf, ears pricked and tail in a friendly position. Looking at the male's pelt, he flicked an ear, amused.
How is he going to cover that up in human form?
Mitch was lucky, he had relatively the same hair colour as his pelt, plus he'd been changing since he was little.
"Hey." Mitch greeted him. The silver-white jumped a bit.
"H-Hello."
"You new? I could introduce you to everyone. What's your name?"
The wolf seemed to hesitate before answering.
"Kazumi."
"I'm Mitchell. The blond wolf over there is Caden, and the red she-wolf over their is Heidi-"
"She's pretty." Kazumi interrupted.
"She's very pretty." Mitch felt a bit disappointed. Kazumi was good looking. "Taken, though. The blonde female by the brunette is Brie, she's talking to Lindsy, their probably talking shit about someone, they're the bitches of the pack."
Kazumi looked around, delicate silver head swinging. Mitch watched, brown eyes captivated. No denying it, Kazumi was definitely handsome. Wonder what he looked like in human form. Probably amazingly good-looking. Maybe Mitch could shag him after the meeting-
"Who's that?" Kazumi motioned his head to a sleek black male, the one everyone knew. Mitch had had a crush on him the first week, it'd disappeared soon.
"Carter." Mitch didn't say anything else. Fuck that guy.
"Oh. Is he nice?"
"No."
Kazumi looked at Mitch, head cocked and eyes confused. Mitch looked away from him, to the wolf coming closer.
"Hey Mitch, you coming for the hunt tonight? Oh wait, that's right." Brie said, voice dripping with fake sweetness. Her two friends stood behind her, Taylor and Lindsy.
"Hey Brie, you going to your house tonight? Oh wait, that's right, you have to go to the streetcorner." Mitch bitterly replied, ready to fight if he had to.
Brie growled, she was so sensitive. Mitch looked at her, so tired of this.
"Don't you have any decency? First Dakota, now this one? Haven't you done enough rape this month?" Brie shot back, voice now filled with venom.
Mitch growled as well, snapping at her. Brie went for his ears, Lindsy and Taylor fanning back. Mitch grabbed her muzzle in his jaws, bringing her down to the ground. Her front paws flailed, hitting Mitch in the face. He backed up, baring his fangs.
"Stop." A commanding voice barked, and Mitch immediately lowered to the ground, as Brie rolled over to look up.
"How many times have I told both of you to stop fighting? Next time, I'll force the message into you." Lukas, a muscular brown wolf, stood over them.
School was going to be awkward tomorrow.
