and the desk clerk is dressed in black
She was fire and light.
With cider coloured eyes and traces of hue on her honey like skin.
With rouge coloured lips that dripped with honey coated words and feelings that were often left unsaid.
Crucial, as faith demanded her universe to be, made her, created her into something she was now.
Who would she blame?
Pity the thinkers, my beauty, for they're lost in their own imagination and trapped in the realities they couldn't escape.
And that's what she was. There was a history of heartbreak creased in her eyes.
A monumen of events and moments she'd watched.
Each tear that escaped her now was the weight of all the things she left unsaid, so the words she'd never spoken stained hee damped cheeks instead.
She lived inside the phosphenes of her own imagination, a world so vivid and entirely her own that she became a maladaptive daydreamer under the quiescent sun.
She was a different kind of beauty, the one that'd make you doubt your own but nevertheless, was she kind.
But oh, she was fire, burning in her own everlasting flames.
Before she was fire, she was water. Quenching the thirst of every dying creature. She gave and she gave before she became a desert.
With sandy waves of her wild imagination on which whoever landed on burnt themselves. Basking in the sun's warmth yet radiating out hell's inferno fire itself.
But instead of dying from the heat, she took all the pain and buried her ashes alive, until she rose like a phoenix ablaze in her own flames.
I deserved a better goodbye
She has no idea what time it was.
All she knew was that she'd been running from her own reality from the crack of dawn, just as the saturated sunrise fell upon her chamber and seeped through the creases.
Her feet were scarred with small cuts, dry blood hanging like the few last threads of her life.
You said you saw me die inside
She was beauty, her svelte figure shaping her thoughts like a scupltor would.
In a world of lies my truth was you
The raindrops each hit her face, each one like a small pebble, weighing her down back to reality.
The aegean painted night with clouds of heather scattered across like dandelions in the sky rattled the strongest of trees, bringing down their very core. This is a letter, from me to you
The painful memory of her blasting metal music at the loudest under the shining moonlight tickled her mind, and she immediately let out a curse, swearing at herself, at what she had became.
Her raven coloured hair brushed her eyelids, the subtle sandstone eye makeup already undone and running down her face.
They called her crazy.
They said Lalisa was a basket case who was so entirely lost in her own world that she wasn't planning to come back.
It wasn't true.
"Lali... isn't... mad." She whispered, her words mingling but all the same time broken.
Shadows danced around, like a bland yet persistent burn on the tongue. Memories and figures of people she'd lost would dance around in her dreams and even pirouette into her reality.
Breakdowns, shattering of mirrors that'd break into even more pieces reflecting her, slowly consumed her.
Fear took over.
Fear, like a fleeting figure the corner of the eye would glance at for the littlest of a second. Fear, like a bee sting that left its mark with the burn embarked on skin. Fear, like the terror of what we feared in the dark.
They forgot to mention what'd happen in the light.
"Keep her locked in a hospital."
"This isn't even close to normal."
"Why is she breaking everything?"
"Crazy."
"Psycho."
" Dont call me your father "
And Lalisa burned.
Under the thunder, beneath the skies, with her knees weak and mind tired, Lisa Manoban burned that night, her memories lighting her ablaze.
Lali, you won't ever forget me right?
"Never," she whispered, smiling through her stained cheeks as she saw him running around.
"I just love the rain, Lali!"
"Me too, Bammie. Me too." She whispered, more tears blurring her eyes.
"Lisa." he murmured, voice velvety and deep.
"You promised to never let me go." He whispered, his voice slowly rising.
"I- I never did, Bammie."
"You forgot me."
Lisa trembled as the skies bellowed once again, making her flinch.
"I didn't."
"You!" He shrieked now, as the lightning struck another tree. "You forgot me!"
"I still remember you, Bam!"
"You. Abandoned. Me." He spoke, each word being emphasized by a step toward her.
Lisa stumbled backwards. "B-Bammie?"
"You and your dollies with your friends and your father-"
"BAMBAM!" she shrieked now, both of their voices mocking the loud roar of the thunder, each scream blending with the other's.
"I hate you, Lali." He said, eyes blackening, his skin developing cracks in it.
"You're the reason I'm DEAD!" He screamed, as with one sprint was he electrocuted with the lightning that struck down on him.
Lisa yelled at the now empty space as she wailed.
"Lisa. Be quiet. Who are you talking to?"
"Bambam. I missed him so much!"
"Lisa, are you crazy?! Do you have manners?"
"M-mom?"
"Lisa! Don't be stupid! Do you think this is a joke?"
"Mom! I'm talking to him! What's wrong with you?!"
"Lalisa!"
"We are at his funeral! Behave!"
Lalisa Manoban bawled as the sky ate up her wails, the thunderstorm slowly coming down.
Her legs were finally going to give out, the only thing keeping her going was a desperate chase to escape reality.
And for once fate might have agreed with her, because just as Lalisa's knees gave out, she found herself on the doorstep of a motel she'd never seen before.
