More Magic

Chapter 1: Act Two START

Memury had been watching all the ponies gather up what they could. The boy, Brian, had been split into two new beings. But despite all that had just happened, Memury had been wanting this. The boy had absorbed all the power from the unstable mirror, and now that power was sleeping in one of the two new beings. It was sleeping in the alicorn.

Alicorns naturally have amazing power, but he was a special case. The regular pony must was the real question. Was his soul ripped apart as well as his body? Regardless, that creature showed no use to Memury. As these thoughts were going through her head, she held up a glass shard. It was a shard of the mirror. And I was radiating some very unstable magic.

Something Memury was planning to use.

Back down at the battlefield, the ponies had regrouped. The field had been absolutely decimated, leaving burning grass, craters, and some blood stained on the burnt grass. 

Twilight limped over to examine the alicorn and pony. "Will he remember who he was or those around him?"

Princess Celestia walked over. Despite her exhausted expression, the Princess knew exactly what to do. "I doubt he'll remember anything. So I'll take the alicorn. I want to make sure we set him on the right path."

Celestia cast a spell to levitate the pony above her and laid him on her back.

"And you said I have ta take care of the other?" AppleJack asked. "Do you want me to raise him as well?"

"Yes. I trust you and the other girls will take care of him." The princess turned around and started making her way back to safety when something caught her eye. Something was glowing in the dirt before her. Using a bit more magic, she lifted up a piece of glass emanating quite a bit of power. This wasn't good.
