Cancún, Mexico

Valente Manison

Luna's room

Luna has a dream, that she's dancing on skates until she suddenly loses her necklace and wakes up. While she wakes up, she feels with her hand on her neck to check if her necklace is there.

Luna's mother, Mónica, comes into the room. "Luna, wake up honey."

"What is it, mom?" Luna asked her mother.

"It's really late," Mónica tells her daughter, while crossing her arms. "Didn't you notice?"

"Has the general called?" Luna groaned.

"She has called your cell phone 20 times, not to mention that Ida also has been calling your phone like 15 times," Mónica told her. "And please stop calling her the general."

Luna stepped out of her bed, walking into her closet. "I'm sorry, Mom." Mónica walked toward her daughter's closet to help her. "It's just I was having this amazing dream."

Mónica chuckled. "So, now your excuse is a dream?"

Luna came out of the closet with a white and green shirt, handing it to her mother. "Here, let me see." Luna went back into the closet and continued to explain her dream. "No, seriously, I was skating."

"Skating?" Mónica asked concerned. "You don't say? You spend your life with those skates on."

Luna came back out of the closet with a pair of shorts. And they walked further into the room. "Yeah, but this was different. Because I was on this huge rink with colorful lights. And suddenly I did some turns and... then my pendant flew off."

Mónica who had just been nodding while Luna talked about her dream, spoke up when Luna said that she lost her pendant in the dream. "Luna, dreams are just dreams. And your pendant is right here, looking after you, just like both of Ida's pendants is looking after her."

Luna looked down at her pendant and layed a hand on it. "Mom, I don't know if me and Ida should believe in protective pendants anymore."

Mónica tilted her head at her daughter's statement about her and her cousin and moving hair out of Luna's face. "Oh, honey."

Suddenly Luna was getting panic and leaned forward taking her mother's hands." Mom, it's getting late! I've to go." Luna turned around to get her clothes into her bag . "Hey, where's dad? Can he drive me?"

"No, he can't," Mónica told her. "He's meeting the new owners. Hurry up, you'll be late!"

Luna stressed pack her bag to her mother's pressure. "I'm coming."
