"Oh, Herin. What you making there?"
Taewon came out his room at the clean, slightly sweet, yeasty aroma that somehow smelled warm, like you were inhaling a blanket on a cold winter day.
Herin flashed a cheeky smile at her brother. "Cookies."
He walked over to her behind the counter while staring at the tiny, delicious looking chocolate chips.
"Woah can I have so-" Herin lightly slapped away his hands that were reaching to grab the chocolate. "No you can not, These are for my friends."
She confidently raised her chin while conintuing her work.
"Friends? You made new friends?" "Mhm."
Her soft hum confused him, Herin made new friends and he Didn't know them. He got curious.
"Who are these friends of yours?"
Herin lifted her head up, meeting his questioning eyes.
"Um, Just some classmates." He knitted his brows together suspiciously. "Does Saewoo know them?"
And then it struck Herin. Saewoo knew the boys, but obviously not how she does.
"Uh..Y-Yes. She does." Squinting his eyes at her as he wasn't persuaded a bit, he tilted his head.
Herin sighed, already feeling guilty under his gaze. "I'm trying to bake here..."
He chuckled, "Okay okay I'm leaving."
Extending his fingers up to her nose, he brushed off the flour that sat on her nose bridge, resulting in Herin giving him a toothy smile.
"I might not come home tonight, there's a lot of work...Lock the door and sleep well." Going into the living room, he grabbed his coat and head to front door to wear in shoes.
"Alright be safe!"
And the door shut, The front door and the oven.
Herin sighed as she washed her hands in the sink, Several thoughts running marathons through her mind.
Would he like them? Maybe he'll accept my apology. And love the cookies!
She turned the tap off and wiped her hands off a kitchen towel. Going ahead and locking the door.
Suddenly, Frowning deeply at the thin, splendid air that had been ruled over by the scent of cookies being baked, she stood there, biting her bottom lip.
