Trapped - Dream SMP AU

Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Dream watched as filtered sunlight crept up his bed, he had a slight childish thought to try and hid under the covers from it, but he was 21, a adult, those years were long gone and he had work to do.

Straining his neck as he sat upright, he rubbed his eyes trying to wake himself up, even if his body was up it didn't mean his mind was. He roughly smoothed out his T-shirt which had wrinkled from last nights sleep, or mid-day sleep as Dream wasn't on a normal sleeping schedule.

His phone started to buzz excitedly while a picture popped up filling the home screen, Dream reached for the phone laughing lightly as he realized it was George calling, the picture being him with his cat.

Dream tapped answer and George started rattling on, "DREAM, where are you!? I am going to go live, but you said you would be there and Sapnap is here but he refuses to go wake you up. And I have been calling for AGES"

Dream groggily replied, "I just woke up idiot, I thought you would have remembered keeping me up all night, how come we have to follow your time zone?"

George laughed, Dream always needed over the recommended hours of sleep so George couldn't blame him for that problem, even if he did keep him up all night.

"Okay fine, let me just get some breakfast and I'll be on, can you wait that long?"

George sarcastically whined, "I guesssssssss" and he hung up.

Dream swung his legs out from the covers and gazed at his desktop, he would be spending another day there like always. He ruffled his golden blond hair till it stayed out of his face, it curled around his head and took the appearance of a brown shade while the sun wasn't on it.

After starting a bagel in the toaster Dream ran up to Nick's room.

"Hey Sapnap, do you want some breakfast? I'm making a bagel, but I can make some eggs too."

"Oh hey Dream, yeah I'm good figuring that it's 3 in the afternoon. Also hurry up, George is yelling to you through my HEADPHONES," he turned to look at the discord screen popped on his monitor, "He can't hear you dumb a*s" Dream shrugged and went back downstairs to grab his breakfast.

Upon returning to his room he had finished the bagel and a cup of coffee, which he despised and only drank for the caffeine.

Dream flipped on a fan as it was extremely hot especially as it was the middle of June and he was dreading the heatwaves that were brought with it.

He grabbed his headphones from where he had carelessly thrown them last night while laughing with Bad, Sapnap and George of course. After booting up discord the small active circle blinked over the "Sex Havers" group name... not his choice.

He listened to the familiar chim as he entered the discord group. "Hi guys."

"DREAM," that was George.

"Finally," Sapnap replied dripping with sass.

"Took you long enough," Quakity replied as he gave off a quick laugh as he did with every response.

"Ha-ha sorry I'm late, honestly tho, blame it on George he kept me up." Dream leaned back in his chair as he shifted the blame which would hopefully take the anger too.

"OOoOOoOo what we're George and Dream doing last night," Quakity burst out laughing again while Dream scuffed and George gave a small chuckle.

"Are we going to start?" Sapnap asked a bit annoyed.

"Yeah, everyone get on the Dream SMP," George said as Dream was already maneuvering to Minecraft. He had done it so many times he could probably do the whole process in his sleep. Dream still felt a bit groggy from waking up and he grabbed his water before logging in when he heard George yell.

"WHATS HAPPENING WHATS HAPPENING, DREA-" His yell was cut off as he disconnected from discord.

"Whaaa, his he okay, is this a bit?" Dream asked Quakity and Sapnap.

Quakity started to yell but was also cut off when his profile beeped inactive on discord. This had to be a bit, they had to be joking with him, they probably coordinated it while he was getting breakfast.

He clicked Dream SMP on his multiple player worlds and waiting for them to come back. Then he heard Sapnap scream, this couldn't be a bit, Nick doesn't just scream for fun even for a joke. Sapnap's scream was cut off from discord and from real life. Okay, this was getting weird, he was going to go check on Sapnap, this wasn't funny anymore.

Dream reached up to remove his headphones but couldn't they were stuck, glued almost, Dream's heart began to quicken, was whatever was happening happening to him?! Dream flicked his eyes back at the loading screen for the SMP and it wasn't doing its normal building of the world it was swirling.

Dream could make out blocks that looked almost 3D from Minecraft that were swirling in this pit. Dream's heart was battering against his chest, he was always a quick thinker but this was happening too fast and it was to unrealistic to be true.

Dream started feeling a force behind him pushing him into the pit as the gapping hole grew it would engulf him soon enough. Dream made another desperate attempt to pull his headphones off, they stayed stuck.

He looked  around the room but not soon enough to see Patches getting pulled into the swirling, he yelled for her to run but it would be no use the invisible force was too strong.

He could see the struggle that Patches was having and he was ready the moment she was pulled free. He grabbed her out of the air and held her tight while trying himself to grip the floor.

But the inevitable is the inevitable and Dream was sucked right out of his room and into the Dream SMP.
