The elevator

Valentina was soundly sleeping when her best friend Lucy abruptly woke her up "Val get your ass up!" She shouted at the girl who still kept her eyes closed.

"Come on Val get up!" She shouted louder while shaking her friend. "Okay okay I'm up" Valentina stated whilst rubbing her eyes.

"We have to get off the plane hurry" Another voice chimed in shouting towards the two girls. Lucy looked at her friend who was still seated and motioned her hands telling her to get up.

Valentina quickly got up and started grabbing all of her luggage along with Lucy.

I sat there looking out of the window taking in the beautiful packed streets of Rotterdam as we drove to our hotel in a taxi.

I was here with my best friend Lucy who was also my makeup artist, and my manager Joanne who was sort of a mother figure to me.

I was representing the UK in ESC this year and I was pretty nervous. Looking out at the beautiful streets calmed down my nerves a slight bit 'til I was brought back to reality when the car stopped.

"Alright there Val?" I looked up towards Joanne. "Yeah fine, just nervous." I replied with a slight smile. "You'll be fine! You're an amazing singer." Lucy beamed at me while taking her suitcases out of the taxi. "Thanks Lu" I replied smiling at her.

"Thank you" I waved at the taxi driver before they sped off. I sighed to myself and walked in the double glass doors of the hotel. I looked all around at the beautiful reception area, taking everything in and getting familiar with my surroundings as i'd be living here for a few weeks.

"Come on girls we're on the third floor." Joanne stated showing off our keys. I headed towards the elevator which was about to close. "Hold the door please!" I said while running.

I ran straight into the elevator and hit something... more like someone. "Omg i'm so sorry." I repeated and looked up slowly. Only for my eyes to be met with his. Thomas Raggi's. "Valentina...?"
