"Nev, Luna," Ginny called as they entered the dining room.
"Hey, guys," Neville smiled. "What's up?"
"We have something to ask you," Harry grinned.
"Ask away," Luna replied.
"With the ceremony we've chosen, we need only one witness each," Ginny began.
"Nev, I'd like you to be my second," Harry smiled. "My best man."
"Me?" Neville gaped. "Not Ron?"
"I thought about it, but Ron needs to be close to Lavender to cast the spells," Harry answered. "What do ya say, god-brother?"
"Uh...umm..." Neville stammered. "Yes."
"Knew I could count on you," Harry grinned as he shook Neville's hand.
"And Luna I..." Ginny started.
"Yes!" Luna squealed as she jumped forward hugging Ginny. Both girls laughed as they beamed at the other.
Considering she had not shared the bed with Harry the night before, Ginny was not well-rested. Considering she was not well-rested, Ginny growled as the curtains were opened wide to let in the bright morning sun. Considering she was not well-rested, Ginny was in no mood to hear a perking voice and a giggle in response to her growl.
"Good morning, birthday bride," Hermione chirped, as Luna giggled.
They both had to duck as pillows flew their way from the bed. When they looked back, all they could see was a lump buried under the duvet. Hermione and Luna looked at each other with a nod. They thought it was a good idea to try to unbury Ginny from the covers. They were wrong.
"Take another step and you'll find out why my brothers cower at the mention of a Bat-Bogey," Ginny grumbled from under the covers. Hermione and Luna stopped in their tracks as the point of a wand poked out from the edge.
"But, Ginny, you nee..." Hermione started before a Stinging Jinx just missed her leg.
"Ginevra, please, it..." Luna stopped as another Stinger shot past her head.
"Not another word!" Ginny snarled. "Now, shut those curtains!"
Hermione gulped as the wand flicked back at her. She nodded vigorously before turning to quickly close the fabric over the window again. Once the room was in semidarkness again, the duvet was thrown back revealing a very grumpy, disheveled-looking Ginny still holding her wand on her two best friends as they stared back with wide eyes.
"Now then," Ginny frowned at them as she looked at the clock. "Why are you here, Hermione?"
"To help you two get ready," Hermione squeaked a little under Ginny's hard stare.
"At half seven in the morning?" Ginny grumbled.
"Well..." Hermione faltered a bit. "We...we have a lot to do."
"Luna?" Ginny turned to the blonde. "How much do have to do?"
"Quite a lot, actually," answered Luna with a small squeal as Ginny swung her wand toward her.
Ginny narrowed her eyes at them with a huff. "Fine. I'm up. What more do you want?"
"Well, we need to start getting our hair done, and..." Hermione started reading the list she pulled from her pocket, only to stop when she looked up at Ginny. She sighed at the lost look in Ginny's eyes. "What's wrong, Ginny? I haven't seen you like this since the second task..." Hermione's eyes flew open as she realized just what was going on.
