The bridge of sadness

~Flashback from Seungmin and Jeongin's second life~

Seungmin was laying on his bed, scrolling on his phone and squinting his eyes because of the light coming trough the curtains.

Suddenly the sound of a key unlocking the door of his little apartment was followed by a few steps before the latter could face his roommate. Jeongin was silent, with his head down and throwing his leather jacket on a chair.

-How was the date? asked Seungmin already knowing the answer.

-Horrible, replied Jeongin with his moral down.

-What was this time? Too cute? too mature? too tall? too "not your type"? too complicated? too skinny?

Seungmin put his phone aside and after sighing in anoyment, he threw a pillow in Jeongin's face.

-For God's sake! I set you on dates with 10 of my friends and 4 of them blocked me right away. I tried with blind dates and apps. What do you want me to do? It's not like you don't want to fall in love. You are always whining about it. What is the problem?

- I-I don't know! responded Jeongin looking out the window and avoiding Seungmin's death stare. It's like none of those people feel like a match. It's not my fault I haven't found my soulmate yet.

Seungmin rolled his eyes in disbelief.

-Do you believe in such thing?

-I do, said Jeongin playing with his fingers. I believe there is someone out there for me. Sometimes I have dreams about a man who slowly fades away, but he is still smiling at me.

-You're gonna die alone because of a dream?

-Yes! I think the man is no longer alive, so I lost my soulmate, but he lost his too. That's why he tries to reach me through dreams.

A moment of awkward silence made way in the room after Jeongin finished his speech.

-And you cannot judge me! You had long term relationships with guys since I met you, but once they proposed, you freaked out and ran away. You know I had to pay for not one, but 5 engagement rings because two of them you threw it in the river, one in the sink, one in sewerge and one in a crocodile's mouth?

- Who proposes at the zoo?

-You told him you like animals!

-I am not going to marry some random guy. I want a tall, handsome guy, maybe long hair, carrying, but with personality and clumsy. I need a guy who can protect me, but has his moments when he needs me.

-And suddenly my story with the dream guy seems more plausible.

Back to present

The Sadness land is formed by two shores linked by an old wood bridge on the Styx river. If it happens to fall in the water, you're doomed to a neverending suffering.

The group was facing the bridge gulping in fear. Minho looked down to see how high they are and his legs weakened at the paronamic view.

-I am not going, said the scared devil while hiding behind Felix.

-You have to!

Everyone turned around unable to recognize the voice who said that. They saw a dark wavy hair boy floating in the air which kind of reminded them of the cat from Alice in Wonderland. He was waving lazily at them while yawning. All dressed in black and red, with brown eyes and with his wings hidden behind him, the devil stepped on the ground to introduce himself.

-I am Yoongi, the guardian of this land. I was sent by the mighty Jin, the most handsome and powerful hybrid who will lead the the earth and sky to the glory of.....
