It had been a few days and now it was Saturday morning. It was at 8 that night that the gig we were playing started

I woke up that day at 10:19 by then my roommate had gone to his classes so I got up, showered, dressed and went to Neil's house again. Jay turned up in jeans and an Adidas shirt. We went into Neil's after that. We were there for two hours. We played the best we could with what time we had and fine tuned our songs until we were exhausted we stayed there until we went to the gig. In the meanwhile we watched TV and discussed new ideas for songs and rhythms we wrote a few down but eventually a while later it was 7 at night.

We brought everything to the bar we were playing at any got set up. When 8 pm rolled around we started of with 'two princes' by spin doctors followed by a few of our songs, Mr Brightside and we finished of with one of our personal favourites 'Sweet child O Mine' by guns n roses. Afterward we stayed at the bar for a while and admittedly had a few drinks. We started with some standard beers before moving on to whiskey and shots before stumbling back to Neil's house singing 'sweet Caroline'. Eventually we made it and crashed in the garage and on the sofa.

The next morning I felt like someone had stuck marbles in my head and rattled them around. When I woke up at roughly midday I could feel the bile seeping up my esophagus and ran into the bathroom and threw up as I opened my eyes fully I could see lumps of puke in the toilet bowl. Whilst doing so I woke up the other guys so since I felt a bit better I grabbed them some aspirin from the cupboards and took one myself before going home to shower and get ready for work, Friday and Saturday were always busiest so my boss got on my case about being there every week. I put on some cargo trousers, a vest and the bar uniform shirt and went out the door for another day of misery at a bar full of inconsiderate people that thought they were better than me, and all for £8 an hour. In the back of my mind I was begging for things to get better than this, that there was more to life than working a job from hell!
