"Get back here!" Jacen screeched. "Give it back!"
Dimitri grinned devilishly as he ran away with Jacen's lightsaber. "Chopper, I got it!"
Beeps came from another room. Dimitri ran towards another room on the Ghost, following the sound of Chopper.
He looked back behind him to make sure Jacen hadn't fought up. He had plenty of room.
But then he hit something and fell to the floor.
He looked up and saw one of his sisters, Faith, looking down at him.
She used the Force to grab the lightsaber, then tossed it back to Jacen.
"You know, Jacen's not gonna be happy if his own Padawan is taking his lightsaber, right?" she asked with a grin as she leaned against the wall.
Dimitri growled in response and got up, then brushed off his pants. "You know, your brother's not gonna be happy if he can't do anything fun anymore."
"Well your sisters won't be happy if you keep dishonoring the family name," she snapped back.
"Ooh, is someone getting snippy?"
"Ooh, does someone want to get in trouble?" Jacen asked angrily. "Stop fighting, please, and go to your dorms. It's already late."
"But it's only —" Dimitri started. He immediately stopped when Faith started dragging him back to their dorm.
"Now listen. I know as much as you do that it's only 20 hundred. But nobody wants to make Jacen angry, because if Jacen is angry, then Auntie Hera gets angry, and we do NOT want that."
AN Interruption: just if you didn't know 20 hundred is 8 PM.
Dimitri mumbled something under his breath but climbed up the ladder and onto his bed.
"Hey, where's Hope?" he asked after a moment of silence.
"On a mission with Master Ahsoka," Faith replied blankly as she flipped through the Jedi texts. Since there were only two even close to fully trained Jedi here, she did a little bit of training under both Ahsoka and Jacen, but most of the time she read the ancient texts.
Jacen had been Ahsoka's Padawan for a few years, but then she had to train Hope, so he 'graduated.' He was better than you'd expect for someone who only had four or five years of training. Faith just assumed he practiced by himself a lot, or maybe just was a natural.
Like his father.
They had all heard the stories of Kanan, Ezra, and even Sabine, but they hadn't ever met Kanan or Ezra, and Faith and Hope had only very small memories of Sabine. She had left only a month after Dimitri was born, when Faith was three and Hope was six and a half.
Hope said Sabine had taught her some painting skills and always had her hair dyed in different colors. She also said their mom was a very skilled gunswoman and could shoot pretty much any target. Especially bucket-heads. Hope was also the only one of them that called Sabine 'mom' or 'mother.'
All Faith remembered was her smile and bright colors when something blew up.
None of them knew how they had been born without Ezra actually being there, it should be impossible, but Hera and Ahsoka always said they were a gift from the Force.
Riiiiiight. Dimitri was definitely a gift. So touching and caring, yeah? And not deserving to be left in Tarkintown to starve at ALL.
"Don't you need to go to bed, too?"
Speaking of people who totally aren't annoying, Dimitri had started talking again.
"No, I'm studying, and I'm not bothering you since I can use my lightsaber correctly, unlike some people," she responded coldly. It was true; she was using the Force to keep her lightsaber in the air as she read, so she didn't need a flashlight.
"You study all legit day," Dimitri moaned.
"That's because I don't normally have anyone to spar with," she said.
Faith kinda wished she could share a room with Hope instead of Dimitri. Hope got the nice room, the one with Sabine's old art, but Faith had to end up with Dimitri in Zeb and Ezra's old room, which smelled badly. Ahsoka and her children, Annabeth and Anakin, were in Kanan's old room, and Hera and Jacen were in their room.
Annabeth wasn't as Force-sensitive as her brother, but she was great with swords of other kinds. Everyone blamed Zeb for that. Anakin trained with Hope under Ahsoka, which was weird, as Ahsoka was his mom. And, weren't Jedi supposed to train only one person at a time?
It didn't really matter, though. The Empire was gone.
But, there was a new problem.
The Empire did not seem to acknowledge that they were defeated, so they still stood up for themselves.
They were scattered and not as strong as they used to be, but they were there nonetheless. That was a problem for the Spectres.
Faith's comm device beeped.
She pressed the button and sighed. "What is it?"
"Faith, meet me at the dock."
It was Hope.
"Kay."
"Can I come too?" Dimitri asked childishly as soon as Faith got up.
"No, stay. If I sense that you have left the dorm, I'll tell Auntie Hera in the morning."
"That would get all of us in trouble for sneaking around," Dimitri pointed out.
"Well then don't leave," Faith smirked as she left the room.
Once she got to the dock of the Ghost, she saw Hope and Ahsoka trying to keep Anakin upright.
"What happened?" She asked, horrified. The boy seemed to be blacked out.
"Oh, you know, casual horribleness of stormtroopers and such," Hope explained. At Faith's confused face, she added, "He got shot in the montrals."
Faith winced.
AN: whew I got that over with!
Just wanted to clarify some things.
Hope Bridger-Wren is a character made by @MandolorianJedi so I did not make her.
Faith's hair is closer to Ezra's from seasons one and two of Rebels, but Hope's is closer to black.
Dimitri looks like a male version of Sabine Wren. (Down to the fact that he dyes his hair a lot, but more reds and blues.)
I know that technically none of them would be able to have been born without Ezra, but it's Star Wars. Don't judge my horrible excuse.
"That's not how the Force wo—"
"Please don't interrupt me."
(Han Solo leaves)
Pretend that didn't happen, ok?
Hope it's 13, Faith is 10, Dimitri is 7. (Technically they're all a little too young to be Padawans but, once again, it's Star Wars, anything can happen.
Also, @MandolorianJedi, you have inherited my little brother... (that's who Dimitri is based off of.) Don't say I didn't warn you.
To all those Americans out there, happy Independence Day!
