My name is Kasumi Murasaki and I am a freshman at Tokiwadai High. A few months ago, I suffered from a major injury causing me to gain an immobilized left arm. Sometimes, I find myself asking, "Why?" See, life has been difficult lately. Shortly after my injury, my mother lost her job at the museum due to the pandemic and we have been unable to pay for my hospital bills. My father on the other hand, is a jobless alcoholic. He spent all of our savings on alcohol leaving us with almost nothing left. Because of that, my parents haven't been getting along so they've decided to file for a divorce. Currently, I'm the only child but in September of last year my mother found out that she was pregnant with what looks to be identical twins. I'm so scared to have siblings to the point that I don't even want to have any siblings. Why? Why is my life so awful?
