Why did this happen? Why did this happen to him, specifically?

Those thoughts kept playing in his head while he ran through the forest, his face bruised and clothes torn.

How long has he been running? Maybe days? Weeks? Who knows. All he knew was that he had to keep running.

He felt tears running down face as he remembered what just happened at his house. His friends and family? Slaughtered. His house? Up in flames.

He remembered the tall blonde man with cold eyes that looked like they were made of molten gold. How horrible his laughter was as he slaughtered his father in front of him with a scythe.

It was a miracle he was able to escape. He remembered the tall blonde woman that helped him.

How kind her bright green eyes were and how warm her small hands were.

Her pale golden blonde hair was long and smelt of warm vanilla and nutmeg. He remembered how she pulled him out of there and told him to run.

He remembered how she said she wishes she could do more but couldn't because if she did, he would know.

Suddenly, something hit him in the back, making him scream and fall hard unto the ground.

He groaned and tried to get up, but the pain was so bad that he could barely move.

Then he heard the snap of twigs and that horrible laugh.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" He heard the voice rasp. "Did you really think you could escape me?"

He felt a large, rough hand on his head and was pulled up harshly by his hair, being forced to face the smirking man.

"My daughter did a job on hiding you from me, despite the fact that she didn't use a lot of her power." Said the man. "Still don't know why she keeps trying to help people like you. They hate her anyways. They are beneath us"

The man sighed, the harsh grip to his hair disappearing. "Still, I'm gonna have to punish her for that."

Percy eyes widened. The blonde woman who helped him escape was this bastard's daughter?

Poor girl, to think that someone that showed so much kindness and warmth would be related to someone filled with so much hate and cruelty.

"Fortunately for her, I have bigger things to do at the moment so I cannot punish her until much later." The man drawled. "Now, time to get going."

Percy looked up in time to see foot coming right at his face, kicking him with tremendous strength.

He only felt pain for just a moment before he blacked out.

Percy released the others from his power with a gasp, his eyesight blurry with tears. The memories were still very fresh in his mind, as well as the pain that he felt in those moments.

"Haven!" Nico shouted, his eyes ablaze with anger and confusion.

Percy blinked at him confusion. "Haven? Who's Haven?" He asked.

"Haven," Thalia snarled in disgust, "is the woman you saw. The one with blonde hair."

Percy blinked at her and gave a soft smile. He could finally put a name to the woman that tried to save him. Everyday, since his containment, he thought about her. He worried about whether she was okay or not.

"How do you know her?" Percy asked. "Is she still alive?"

He hoped she was.

Piper snorted. "Yeah, she still is. She was the one who got us out of containment. Little bitch."

Percy frowned, not liking the way they were talking.

"Why are you guys talking about her that way? Like you hate her?" Percy demanded. "She saved all of you!"

Drew tutteted. "Amara may have saved us but she's also the reason we got in there in the first place!"

Wait? Amara?

Drew saw his confused look and rolled her eyes. "Her full name is Haven Amara. She worked for them. She use to search for others like us before she decided to switch over to the researching lab."

"G-guys, come on," Grover stuttered, looking around nervously. "She didn't know why she was searching for us, okay? They left her in the dark. "

Annabeth snorted, giving him a look. "Do you really believe that, Grover? Even if it was true, we still suffered in that hellhole because of her."

"Guys! Please, let's not argue!" Jason exclaimed, trying to get everyone to calm down. "We have every right to be upset but staying upset won't get us anywhere. As much as I hate Haven for what she did to us, we have to recognize that she is trying to help us now. So please, just chill."

Everyone grumbled but calmed down, most of them glaring at the floor.

"Now, I'm gonna call Keigo and Devora. I got a message from them awhile ago saying that they are in town." Jason said before turning towards Percy. "I'll ask them to look you over and make sure you don't have any internal injuries."

Jason started to walk away before he paused. He stood there for a moment before turning back to him with a soft smile.

"And maybe I'll see if I can get Haven to come. I'm sure you'd like to see her."

Percy brightened up and nodded his head enthusiastically. Jason laughed softly and started walking away, shutting the door behind him.

Nico sighed and stood up from where he was sitting. "Alright, if Keigo does come, please don't mention her. She's a very sensitive topic for him. He use to have a thing for her before he got captured and sent to containment."

Percy just simply nodded, not really paying attention to what Nico said.

Just one word kept repeating in his head.

Haven.

Alright guys! Here's a new chapter that I know a lot of you have been waiting for!

Hopefully you will like some of the OCs that I will bring into the story! Haven will be a very important character in this story, as she is the reason why the others haven't been found after escaping and why the man is so desperate to keep her in line.

While the others are harsh to Haven, it is very understandable as to why they don't like her. Even if she didn't mean for them to be put through hell, she is still responsible for it.

Has anybody guessed who the man is? (It's pretty obvious!)
