requested: guess what... YES -WAW4NDAnobody enjoys breakups. we may show the world we're now 'bad bitches' or whatever, but it's not like that. if a normal breakup is hard, just picture it but worse because your now ex is a billioner, playboy, handsome, cocky, irresistible, philanthropist named anthony stark. yes, the tony stark.
when you tell your friends you're over with someone, sometimes they ask if it was on good or bad terms. however when it came to y/n and tony, it didn't work like that. they had been together for almost a year now, and they'd obviously broke up, but only once or twice, not a big deal, sometimes maybe even as a joke.the problem started when the fights begun, it was always the same thing. either tony was jealous of other guys or y/n felt like he was never home, always with other girls.
when they actually broke up, they weren't really themselves anymore. of course, they showed they were living their best lives and doing amazing things on their own, but in reality, it was all fake smiles and lies. the thing is they were each other's anchors, safe places and most importantly, each other's homes.
she had seen other males after ending it with him, but none could compare.
he had seen other females after ending it with her, but none could compare.anthony edward stark was very well-known for his huge and amazing parties. he really couldn't go longer than a week without throwing one.
obviously, every known person in new york that got along with him or stark industries in general, would be invited. it's clear that no one missed one of those parties. well, y/n would. except all her female friends who knew tony (nat, pepper, wanda, you name them) had told her it was a great opportunity to show him what he was missing, even though the decision was, as they had acclaimed, mutual.so, she got ready. she was wearing a beautiful dress, that made her beautiful body look even better. you could tell napkins would be needed to wipe the drool out of many's chin. especially tony's.
when she walked in the building, there was a great atmosphere. she internally hated almost everyone there, the majority being self-centered assholes that didn't care about others. she walked to the bar to get a drink, and found steve and other of her co-workers there. y/n greeted them with hugs, the last one being bucky, her best friend, the one that made tony the most jealous.
tony definitely hadn't been staring at y/n since she walked in. of course not.
well, he obviously had. however, he's an asshole full of pride, meaning he would never, in a million years admit it to her. or anyone, for that matter. what he didn't know is she already knew, giving her more reason to stay hugging bucky and be by his side for a while. but, don't get her wrong, it wasn't because of tony she did it, she hadn't seen the rest of the team in quite a while now. actually, she hadn't seen them since before it happened.bucky was quite the funny guy around her. she meant a lot to him, but not like that. as a friend. a very good one, indeed. he loved to crack jokes around her, because he knew she had been through a lot, and thought, no, knew, she deserved happiness. because he, out of all people, knew what it was like to be in her shoes.
she was happy. not now. why? him. tony. it was him, her pain. yet, still her happiness. he could break her heart over and over, and wouldn't complain.
he was happy. not now. why? her. y/n. it was her, his pain. yet, still his happiness. she could break his heart over and over, and wouldn't complain.tony was in the opposite side of the room, separated from the rest by many feet. yet he could still make out her smiles and laughs. any other day, that would have made him smile and laugh too. today was not the day. because he was not the reason she was smiling or laughing. it was someone else.
bucky was side-hugging her. they were drinking and laughing. tony thought his jokes weren't funny. at all. did he hear them? no. but still.he was getting kind of a déjà vu. but not of his past experiences. it remember him of something that would happen in a show, or a film. he didn't like were this was going one bit. especially the ending. he didn't like the ending of these type of films. but then tony remembered, y/n wasn't his girlfriend anymore. she wasn't his home now. and he had agreed to this happen. oh, what an idiot.
