Warnings: slight angst, swearing, pregnancy scare, talks of future children, fluff
"Flowers." Simon spoke from beside Henry as the pair of them sat in the make-up trailer.
Henry gave him a puzzled look in the mirror. "Flowers?"
Simon nodded, "For Y/N." He turned to look at Henry. "As an apology."
"How did you know I was thinking about her?" Henry looked at him.
Simon grinned, "I just did. And take it from someone who's been married for a while and is always putting his foot in it, flowers are a good start."
Henry nodded. "Do you think she'll forgive me?"
Simon nodded, "Of course she will. Just, talk to her, let her know how you feel but also listen to her... And besides, have you not seen you, she'd be a fool to never forgive you." He joked making Henry laugh.
Henry had definitely put his foot in it. It all started the night before when Henry had mentioned the following day was when he'd been doing a stunt that required him to be hanging off the side of a mountain with an almost 2000ft sheer drop behind him.
You weren't happy about it, dread and worry swimming in your gut, but you knew Henry had to do these things so you kept your mouth shut. When Henry had noticed you weren't quite yourself and asked what the matter was, you told him.
"Oh... It's nothing." Henry had tried to reassure you, shrugging his shoulders like it was nothing.
"Nothing! Henry, you're going to be hanging of the side of a fucking cliff."
"Actually, it's a mountain, not a cliff." He corrected, "And, there'll be safety wires. I'll be fine." He smiled at you.
"Henry, you could die." You frowned at him. "What if you do? Kal and I would be none the wiser." You said dramatically, dropping down to kneel in front of Kal, the two of you pressing your foreheads together as you stroked behind his ears.
Henry rolled his eyes, "I'm pretty sure someone would come and tell you." He chuckled.
You stared up at him with teary eyes and shook your head. "This isn't funny, Henry." You whispered. You stood up and sulked off into the trailer without another word, leaving Henry and Kal outside.
Henry let out a heavy sigh as he bent down to stroke Kal's head. "Women,"
Kal quickly ducked under Henry's arm and jumped up into the trailer abandoning Henry altogether."Looks like you're in trouble mate," One of the sound engineers chuckled as he walked by Henry.
He nodded, "It would seem so." He sighed.
Henry tried to make things better with you. When he did the stunt (everything going as it should), he had someone take a picture of him so he could post it on Instagram but to also show you it wasn't that big of a deal. Boy, was that a stupid thing to do. When you saw the picture you burst into tears. He just didn't understand why you were so upset, and when he tried to talk to you things just seemed to escalate.
"You're over reacting, Y/N." Henry huffed in annoyance. "I've done it now, so you can stop the water works."
"Screw you." You threw a pillow at him from the sofa before grabbing your things. "I'm going back to the hotel." You sniffled, leaving the trailer and Henry behind, Kal followed after you as he threw Henry a look over his shoulder.
Henry was left alone for the rest of the day to sit and stew over what happened. He couldn't understand why you were so upset, it was done and over with.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~When Henry returned back to the hotel with a big bunch of roses, he found you and Kal curled up on top of the bed. Looked like the two of you had been there all day.
Henry placed the roses on the bottom of the bed as Kal turned his head to look at him. "Don't, eat them." Henry warned him before heading off into the bathroom to shower.
After spending a while under the hot stream of water, going over in his head exactly what he wanted to say to you, Henry stepped out into the steam filled bathroom grabbing a towel. As Henry dried himself off and tied a towel around his waist, Henry noticed something sticking up in the waste paper bin.
Henry raised his eyebrow in confusion as he bent over and picked out the plastic white stick that sat under the tissue. Everything started to make sense now.
"Henry?" You called out, your voice was thick with sleep.
Henry stepped out of the bathroom holding the pregnancy test up. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked looking at you with hurt swimming in his eyes.
You sat up in bed and looked at him in confusion then realised what he was holding up. "It's negative, Henry. I was just... Overreacting." You let out a heavy sigh as you turned in bed and put your legs over the side.
Henry frowned as he moved towards you, "But you thought you might be pregnant?"
You shrugged. "I missed my period. It's happened before but, not when I've been in a relationship so, I panicked a little... I was going to mention it to you but you had enough on with filming... And then I made you angry by being so dramatic."
"I wasn't angry, Y/N, I was just... Confused." Henry sat beside you. "You should have told me you were worried about this. I'd have understood why you were so upset."
You nodded, "I just, didn't want to distract you when you had something so important going on... But then I started thinking, what if I was pregnant and something bad did happen to you on set. Our baby would have no father and that terrified me... I don't know what I'd do without you, Henry. I just love you so much." You confessed, quickly wiping the tears away that had formed.
Henry wrapped his arm around you and pulled you into his side as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head. "I'm going nowhere, love." He whispered. "You know I love you, right?" You nodded. "Good." He kissed your hair again. "The next time you have any worries, whether it's about what I'm doing or something like this, talk to me. I never want to be the reason your crying ever again. It killed me."
"It wasn't your fault, Henry." You whispered.
"Still, talk to me, please." He spoke softly against your hair. "How do you feel?"
"Honestly?" You asked looking up to him, continuing after he nodded. "Relieved." You sighed softly, reaching up to place your hand on Henry's bare chest. "It's not the right time for us, is it?" Your brow creased as you lightly played with his chest hair. "But, there's a part of me that... Feels, disappointed." You shrugged looking up to him. "Sorry," You looked away from him shyly.
Henry shook his head, "Don't be, love. You're right, now wouldn't be the best time for us. But, if and when it happens, it'll be a wonderful thing." He smiled lovingly at you as he reached up and brushed his knuckles over your cheek.
You smiled up at him. "You've thought about children?" You asked softly.
Henry's smile stretched across his face as he nodded. "With you, yes." He chuckled softly as he saw your face light up a little. "Have you?"
"... Yes." You whispered. "I have... With you." You bit your bottom lip and hid your face in his shoulder as you began to blush.
Henry chuckled as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head. "I could take you to see the spot?"
You pulled back from him with a frown. "Spot?"
Henry nodded, "Where I did the stunt. If you wanted, I could ask if you could do-"
"Absolutely not!" You jumped up from the bed and began to walk towards the bathroom. "No, thank you. Much rather keep my feet on the ground... Actually, I prefer to be laid on my back... Under you." You smirked at Henry before closing the door behind you.
Henry shook his head with a chuckle and laid back on the bed beside Kal. "Women." He laughed as his faithful bear began licking his face lovingly, having forgiven Henry for this morning.
