I don't mind, no I don't mind, I don't mind the rain
The simple things and subtleties they always stay the same
The young female sighed while looking out the window. She watched as the rain fell freely and without a care. She wished she could live like that. Not caring the looks she got or what people said about her. But that is where self conscience gets the best of her.
I don't mind, that I don't mind, no, I don't mind the rain
Like a widow's heart
We fall apart
But never fade away
Another thing that got her was that she had trust issues. She found it hard to trust others, especially males. Her mother is a widow and she never remembered her father. Whenever she asks her mother, all she gets is a deep sigh and saying that he left. She always thought that he left them and committed suicide being that he could never pay the bills. Her mother said that he was depressed and wasn't good with money. But the truth is that her father died in a car wreck a few weeks before she was born. Nobody knows this but her close friend, Speedy. He is the only male that she sorta trusts. Speedy only knows because his parents were close with (Y/N)'s. They were supposed to be childhood friends but he had to move. They met back with each other in middle school and she slowly took him in as a friend.
Told like a child do you know where I came from?
No I don't, but I'm singing all the same songs
I'm alone, and you're looking for your anyone
Does it hurt just to know that it's all gone?
(Y/N) also suffered depression. She felt like she is lonely and nobody's there for her. Many people are but her trust issues get her. Speedy was always there but she never fully understood that. She still doesn't. She would have many friends if she would stand up to her social anxiety. She would also get jealous of people that had things she didn't. Like the popular kids that have fathers and take advantage of them. She would break herself down thinking about how better they were to her and how she was useless. She hurt herself and nobody would do anything about it. Or that is what she thought. Speedy was trying every way he could but would only get pushed back. He soon gave up on seeing her everyday and it turned to once a week or even once a month. Depression got the best of her and this is the state she is left in. Loneliness.
I can feel the pain in the words that you say
Hidden in the letters that were written to no name
Let me be the hands that you hold to your face
Cause I'd give it all up if I could take it away
Speedy was trying to get her happy but nothing seemed like it worked. He didn't understand it. He was there for her, he would let her cry on his shoulder, he would listen to her and her pains. But nothing worked. She was still sad the next day. He did research to help her but with gaming and traveling in the way, he barely saw her.
Buried in red, white, and a side of some blue
Some will die too late, and somebody too soon
If he could come back, we'll see what it cost him
We had to lose it all, just to know that we lost one
(Y/N) wasn't having the best week either. She just lost another family member and this week was the week her father died. She never met him but it would still be nice to visit his grave right? It was a risky choice. She could visit him and trigger more depression, or she could just stay the way she is right now, and act like it is nothing. She sighed and got up.
