School didn't scare me today, and it never did. I didn't have anything to be afraid of anyways; right? Good grades = happy parents = nothing to worry about. I shoved a piece of slightly burnt toast into my mouth as I grabbed my backpack.
"Remember dance class today!" my mom chimed from the kitchen. Recently, she's been signing me up for as many activities as possible, since it's almost the end of the year and she wants me to have something to do all summer. "Yep." I said from the door. "I'm off now!" I slammed the door before she could respond, seeing I'm close to missing the bus. I ran to the bus stop faster than I should have at 7:30AM.

The bus arrived just barely on time, I ran to my locker to get my books for English class. I slammed my locker and turned around as I felt a hand on my lower arm. I turned in the direction to see the one girl I didn't want to. "Hey Miss Perfect, little late today, hm?" She smirked. I rolled my eyes. "Let go Shin, I have class." I pulled away from her arm. Ryujin stood there, still smirking at me. "What do you want?!" I groaned. She put her finger on my shoulder, looking up and down my arm. "I was just wondering if you have a date for prom? No need to be so aggressive..."
I raised my eyebrow, "Okay so, one; don't you have a date already? You're practically famous. Two; why me? Three; I simply don't like you. Four; I have to go to class." I lifted up her hand and dropped it. "Bye bye~" I chimed and headed off to class; satisfied knowing I left her speechless.

Soon enough, lunch came. I was getting my lunch out of my locker and was surprised by a large crowd of high schoolers running through the hall and chanting. I turned in the direction of the chaos to see boys and girls; sweaty from their gym class; carrying a girl and chanting. I soon realized it was Ryujin they were praising and carrying, probably for winning yet another game. I groaned; knowing I'd had to wait for the crowd to move to be able to make my way to the cafeteria.
The crowd let Ryujin down and they all exchanged high-fives and praises as they parted. Out of my peripheral vision I spotted Ryujin staring at me. I rolled my eyes and speed-walked to the cafeteria. Why was she so obsessed with me suddenly? We used to fight every day for three years straight. I brushed it off and sat at my usual table with Yuna, Lia, and Tzuyu. Lia smiled at the sight of me. "Hey Chaer! Come on, I brought your favorite~" she pulled out a bag of my favorite chips and I smiled as I sat next to her.
Tzuyu seemed to be staring me down. "Why are you 3 minutes late? You're usually early to everything; even lunch. Did something happen? Are you okay? Were you hurt?-" she kept asking questions rapid fire until Yuna told her to be quiet. "Tzu, I'm fine, I just got a little stuck, that's all." I said while chewing on Lia's chips.
Tzuyu seemed to be satisfied with that answer and started chatting to an annoyed Yuna. "So do you have a prom date yet?" Lia asked, wiggling her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes. "Lia I told you I'm not interested in Prom and I'm probably not going, ok?" I didn't mean to sound as rude as I did but luckily Lia was used to my bipolar-ness. She shrugged. "Ok but Ryujin doesn't ha-" I slammed my fist on the table. "YES. Yes, I know she doesn't have a date I was informed. And i'm not interested and I want nothing to do with her." Lia looked shocked. "Geez ok.. speaking of the devil..." she looked above me.
I tilt my head up to see Ryujin leaning over me, smiling. "Good afternoon!" I tightened my jaw. "What now, Shin? Can't you let me enjoy my lunch in peace?" Ryujin chuckled. "I'm afraid not, I just couldn't keep my eyes off of you." I narrowed my eyes, feeling my face get red. "I- you know what, just tell me what you need if it will make you leave me alone." She smiled, her tongue tracing her teeth. "Well after prom, there's being a graduation party and I wanted to know if you and your friends wanted to join?"
I wasn't a party person, but my friends were. They all nodded excitedly, "Yes we would love to, where is it?" Lia chirped. I sighed, knowing they would force me either way. I stood up and walked to the bathroom without saying another word; knowing Ryujin would track me down to get an answer, the stubborn girl she is.

I dropped my books in my locker. I was putting down my binder when I saw a small slip of paper in my locker. I picked it up and it happened to be a number, with a winky face and a note; "text me ;)." I automatically knew who it was. For some reason I kept the piece of paper in my bag. I slung it on my back and went off to dance practice.

I always bring my skateboard to school. It's one of the only constants in my life, along with sports and popularity; but those things don't necessarily make me happy. Sure, having all the girls wrapped around your finger is nice, and it does have it's perks; but it's not what I really wanted.
I looked up and saw the few clouds in the sky today. When I was younger I always wondered what it would be like up there. I've never been in a plane or anything, and I've always wanted to travel when I was older; but I couldn't while in high school because of my family's financial state.
I opened the door of my house, not surprised to see a note on the fridge; "Hey Ryu, I'll be at work late. Make some food for yourself -big bro" I smiled at it and opened the fridge. I took out a leftover bin of kimchi. I sighed and sat on the couch.
As I ate, I started thinking about a certain red head. I really hope she saw my number. I wanted to talk to her about the part. Maybe I did come off a bit creepy... I didn't mean to at all I just didn't know how to talk to her passively. Anyways, I put away my dishes and walked upstairs to change.

After getting in bed, I heard a ding from my phone. I checked the clock. "Who would be texting me at 11PM?" I took out my phone and saw a number I didn't recognize;
"Hey stupid."
