Their eyes connected for the first time in five years. And just like it always had before, her heart swooped as she stared into her deep, ocean blue eyes. God, he was even more handsome than she had remembered. The five years had also been good to him. And honestly, it felt like not a single day had passed. Except for one thing. Before whenever he looked at her, he had a massive smile on his face, happiness and joy and love evident in his eyes. He acted like she was a goddess and he was blessed simply by her presence. It used to make her feel so special. And so damn good. Because every time he did that, it was clear how devoted he was to her and how strong and true his love for her was. But now, he was clearly not happy to see her. He was not smiling. He look disgusted by the mere presence of her on his ship. And that one fact made her feel like she was drowning and the oxygen was slowly seeping out of her chest. She used to be his everything but now it was clear that he hated Emma. And he was absolutely right to. Especially after what she did.

Killian couldn't quite believe his eyes as he looked down and saw the woman he had once loved and dreamed of marrying lying in front of him. On the deck of his ship. And bloody hell, why did this have to happen? He had been having such a good day. And more importantly he had spent these past five years working his ass off to get over this flipping woman. And now she was here lying in front of him. On the deck of his ship. And it was like these past five years hadn't even happened. He still had the same reaction to seeing her that he used to have whenever he opened his eyes and rolled over in the morning and was greeted with the reminder that he had somehow won the heart of this beautiful, enchanting woman. All he wanted to was wrap his arms around her, remember the delicious taste of her lips and then protect her from any harm. But he couldn't that. Because yes, whenever he did think of Emma, he did remember the good moments and how deliriously happy he felt whenever he was with her but he also remembered that moment when she broke his heart. A week before their wedding. Their fucking wedding. So he didn't do anything. He wouldn't help her. But he couldn't keep looking at her either. So he looked away, clenching his jaw and cursing Blackbeard in his mind, and crossed his arms, trying to act like this wasn't getting to him even though it all definitely was.

"So?" Killian questioned, raising one of his eyebrows.

"So?" Blackbeard scoffed, letting out a little chuckle. "So!? I've got your princess girlfriend and if you don't hand over the Jolly Roger to me, I will kill her."

Emma inhaled deeply as her heart began to beat sporadically and fear filled her brain. She couldn't die. What about her parents or Henry? Or....him? They would never know what happened to her. Would never be able to find her body. They'd just be left as husks of their former selves with questions, despair and grief. She couldn't let that happen to any of them. She couldn't die. But no she wouldn't. She started to calm down and breathe normally as she realised that Killian would never let her die. He had proven that so many times before. He'd even traded his ship for her before. Yes, the Jolly Roger was important to him but Emma was always more important. He loved her and wanted her more. She looked up from the decking to see Killian staring deeply at her with his brow furrowed and after a few seconds, he chuckled slightly, shaking his head. He looked away from her again and back to Blackbeard.

"Kill away."

Wait, what?

Even Blackbeard seemed a little shocked and confused by the two words that had just come out of his mouth. He hadn't been planning for Hook to choose that option. He had been so sure that today was finally the day where he would get the Jolly Roger. Weren't the two supposed to be in love? But none was more shocked than Emma. She digested what he had just said before it really hit her what he actually meant. She was going to die. In the middle of the fucking ocean. Away from her family. And that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part was that Killian didn't care about what happened to her anymore. His ship was more important to him than her. And god she was going to die without his forgiveness. Without his love. Without being able to kiss him one last time. The two men pulled her back up and started dragging her to the side of the boat and that's when she realised what they were going to do her. They were going to push her the side of the boat. She would actually drown. So fucking poetic. But god no, she was so terrified. She didn't want to die.
