I woke up at a loud noise in the room. However I was just too tired to realize if I just imagined it or if it was for real. But then I heard a slightly angry whisper from right next to me. "Cris, I swear if she wakes up, just because you can't handle your first hangover ever, I assure you your headache will be the least problem you'll have."

The voice sounded familiar however I couldn't quite sort out from where I knew that husky voice. I struggled with myself whether it would be worth it to open my eyes to locate the origin of the sound or if I just act like I didn't heard anything and continue to sleep.

I didn't even had the chance to decide 'cause the next second I remembered everything. The accident the night in the hospital and I could have sworn that I felt asleep right next to...

"James?!" My voice sounded strange not like it would belong to me and way too quite. I feared that no one heard me but I didn't realized how close James was to me. That the warm that engulfed me wasn't a special cover but the comfortable heat of the young Colombian.

I felt a growling form itself in the throat of the handsome number ten when he scolded Cristiano for being clumsy. "Look what you have done. The whole night she had horrible nightmare and when she finally calmed down and slept peacefully you brushed in, still tipsy from your self-pity trip and wake her."

"I had nightmares?" I asked now suddenly fully awake.

I looked at the tanned skin of the Colombian midfielder but he refused to meet my glance. "Yeah, short after you fell asleep you started whimpering. First I found it sweet but soon you started to shout out for Isco and me and crying very hard. I tried my everything to calm you down but you just couldn't wake up from your dream."

"I shouldn't have stayed when I was a threat for his peaceful night. Isco I'm sorry I-" I turned still slightly shocked from the revelation. However Isco wasn't where he was supposed to be. "Where is Isco?" I asked worried. I was already on my feet to look for the midfielder when I heard rumouring in the bathroom.

"I'm here" he grinned when the room door opened and Isco came in. He was seated in a wheelchair. The nurse who brought him left immediately after she saw who was standing in the chamber but I couldn't care less for the gossip of a few medicals about Cristiano Ronaldo.

James fell on his knees in front of him and laid his head on Isco's lap "Never leave me again, please" he whispered softly. Cristiano who remained silent the whole time shifted uncomfortable. "What did the doctors say?" I asked after a few minutes just watching the two best friends softly speaking in quick Spanish to each other.

"He said it's a miracle that nothing is too badly injured. However I shouldn't mess with my head the next few days and I'm out for a week." he said defeated. "Hey don't be stupid you, Dani and Jesé were very lucky that nothing bad happened" I scolded but smiled sheepishly. I crouched down next to James and pull the two of them into a thigh hug. "I love you, guys." I said lovingly.

Cristiano coughed thoughtfully and James turned immediately. I sighed, I nearly forgot the winger for a short moment. "Cristiano, how's your hangover?" I teased. "I'm just content that the three of you are happily reunited." he teased back but I saw the smirk on his face.

"I'm here to apologize to you, Kat. I'm sorry for appearing drunk on your doorstep I'm a mess when I am not in control over a situation." the Portuguese murmured. I stood up and cupped his face however I had to tiptoe because he was much taller than I was. "Hey, it was difficult for all of us. Luckily everything went well in the end. Even Isco can cope with a week without football and after that everything will be back to normal." I smiled.

It was as I predicted. Everything was soon back to normal except for the fact that we lost our next two games against Valencia in La Liga and against Fernando Torres in the Copa del Rey competition. Fernando was back in his glory and I had to admit even though he didn't scored he was an important part in the attacks of Atletico against Real Madrid. After that match Isco was back on track and he would be again in the starting eleven against Getafe. His return was like a release for the whole team and we won the game with 3 to 0 even though Fabio Coentrão saw a red card, which we all couldn't understand.

Then there was the ballon d'or gala in Switzerland. Unsurprisingly Cristiano won the golden ball but I didn't doubt that for a second. Me and Isco cheered for James in front of the huge television in my apartment that evening. Just seconds after he received the Puskas award we texted him a thousand messages to congratulate him. We were really happy for him and couldn't wait for him to return home.

Home, was more over my apartment because the two midfielder refused to return to their own houses, ever since the incident. First I let them stay because I wanted to take care of Isco and I feared that he would be depressed alone in that huge house of his without Victoria and Isco jr., so I offered him to live with me. It was no surprise that James started to stay over more often as well. As soon as Isco started again with football training I expected him to return to his own home but he just continued staying at my place. To be honest I didn't mind at all. His company was very pleasant and we rarely were alone at home. Apart from James there were all the other players who often visited us for playing FIFA in case of the younger once or enjoying a glass of my expensive Italian wine like Sergio or Iker.

The Real Madrid family grew even tighter together since the incident and each and every evening there were other players visiting me and Isco and spending time with us. Especially Toni, Chica and Jesé stayed often at my place.

The second game after Atletico Madrid was a show of Fernando Torres. El niño was finally back at home when he scored two goals against Keylor Navas and I was happy that it wasn't Iker in between the sticks because the criticism would have been defeating for el Capitan. We ended the match in a draw but after the loss in the first leg we were now out of the competition. Ancelotti wasn't that hard with the players because he knew that they were all just a bit out of track after the incident but he forced them to extra trainings.

Against Getafe Isco was already in the starting again. He trained a lot since the accident and he forced me to go with him to the gym. At that chance I saw Cristiano more often. He spend his spare time in gym since Irina left him. I didn't know the details but according to the rumours she left him for a Hollywood film star, which cracked the pride of the Portuguese.
