Jurassic World: The Beginning

Chapter Six

Owen glanced around the area for something to protect them or help them get rid of this Baryonxy, the creature was slowly making her way over to them, soft but threatening growls coming from her.

"We need to distract her!" Blue turned to her siblings and chirped up. Delta and the others agreed with her, all looking around for something. Behind them they saw the main entrance and they all turned back to Owen, barking up at him. The barking instantly caught the attention of Owen.

"What is it?" Owen asked the his raptors, raising an worried eyebrow before quickly looking back at the Baryonxy.

"Over here!" All four of them chirped and jumped up the steps towards the building.

Owen quickly looked to the back of him where they had ran to before gasping as the Baryonxy launched herself at him, he managed to scramble out of the way, missing her mouth by inches. The creature fell to the floor with a loud thud and started to try and get up in a rush, her tail swishing angirly. Owen quickly ran pass her, missing a flying paw of hers by a moment as he hurried up the stairs. The Raptors ran to the front door that had been smashed in, chirping as they made their way in, Owen now close behind them. The trainer looked for anything that would keep that creature out, he saw a desk that was slightly broken but still could work, without a second thought, he pushed it in front of the entrance and stood back panting. He lent against the wall to catch his breath and close his eyes for a few moments of peace, when he was interrupted by a pulling at his trousers leg. He looked down to see Echo, chirping up at him and biting his trousers leg.

"This way!" Echo chirped, letting go and heading towards where her siblings had gone. Owen looked to where Echo was heading and followed her in, before letting out a shocked gasp. The raptors stood around a radio that didn't seem to be broken, their tails wagging at what they had done.

"Well done!" Owen praised happily, hurrying over to it and kneeling down, checking it over. It had a few scrapes and dents in it but it was in good enough condition. "Now here's hoping it works." He said to his raptors and gently patted each one of them on their heads. The raptors barked back in reply and happiness to him.

"At least we get to see him for how long he has to stay now." Delta said as she tapped her claw on the floor, looking around. The other three nodding in reply.

Owen began work on the radio to see if he could get anything working, yes there was no power but surely there was a way he could send an S.O.S or something for himself. The Raptors began to play fight with each other to keep their hunting and pouncing on point, barks and chirps could be heard from them, sometimes even hurt chirps if one of them was too rough with the other, Owen chuckled as he watched them and continued to see to the radio, pushing a few buttons in.

"Come on!" Owen growled and sighed angrily. "Damn it!" He shook his head and put it to the side for now. "This is...." His thought track was put to a halt when he heard a loud screech from he guessed what was the Baryonxy and a gun shot, he quickly rose to his feet and frowned. The four raptors stopped in their tracks and ran behind Owen, small worried chirps coming from them. "It's okay." He whispered to his raptors and took a deep breath, slowly stepping towards the entrance and looking through the small cracks of the glass. Outside there were armed men walking around the area, looking around. "I'm saved! Though why did it have to be Ingen." He groaned as he began to push the the desk out of the way, he stepped outside with his hands held out showing he showed no harm.

"Owen Grady is that you?" Vic Hoskins grinned walking over to the man.

"Yes....Hoskins it's me." Owen sighed and shook his head with a small smile, depsite how much he hated the man, he knew this was his chance to leave the island.

The four raptors came out happily behind him and chirped up at him, when suddenly a large sack was thrown over them and they were thrown into a cage on a truck.

"Hey! Those are my raptors! What are you doing to them?" Owen yelled angrily and charged towards the truck to try and get them out, he was grabbed by the guards and was pushed to sit down. "VIC!" He snapped.

Vic laughed and walked over to the siblings in the cage who were all chirping and barking, banging against the cage to try and get out. "Why these little beauts are going to get us a load!" He chuckled and pushed against the cage. "Oh shut up!" He growled at the Raptors.

"How do we get out of here?!" Delta asked, chirping worringly.

"I don't know. But we can't give up. Our trainer won't allow it!" Blue replied and gave a concerning bark towards Owen.

Owen looked up at her and gave her a assuring smile, he would get them out of here somehow. He suddenly was pulled to his feet and pushed into the back of the truck.

"Look at this way Owen.....You and the raptors get a free ride home." Vic spoke as he climbed into the front, a smile still resting on his face.

"The raptors need to stay here, where they are safe!" Owen growled towards the man.

"They will be perfectly safe back at the mainland." Vic said and rolled his eyes, turning the ignition on and starting to drive back to the dock.

As Vic started drving back, Owen saw the dead Baryonxy in a pool of her own blood. "Seriously?!" He turned to Vic annoyed.

"She was a threat! She took one our men out!" Vic replied. "We are the top!" He chuckled as he continued to drive.

"No we aren't! Dinosaurs were sixty million years ago, they don't know the difference! We have designed them again, brought them back from extinction!" Owen cried out with a shake of his head.

"Which makes us the top of the food chain." Vic smirked and rested one arm on the back rest. "We are the alphas...."

"No we are not! Not of these animals!" Owen shook his head in disgust at the man.

Meanwhile in the back of the truck, the raptors sat with their heads down.

"Guys, we can't let this get to us. We will get out." Blue said encouragingly to her siblings.

"I hope so." Echo murmured and lay down on the hard bars below her.

Blue turned to look out of the cage, pressing her paws up against it. "We have to...."
