Part 14. Kichen Accidents

"Finally you're awake." TJ sounded relieved. Out of habit I went to reach under my pillow to grab my journal. Of course it wasn't there. I sat up crossed legged and ran my fingers through my hair to get it out of my face. I still felt tired so I rubbed my eyes hoping that would help. It didn't work.

"How long was I out for?" I ask looking at TJ without turning my head.

" 'Bout two hours. I took you here after you passed out in the cemetery. The others are here too."
I jolted a little at the last part.

"What did you tell them?" I jerk my head and body to him a little too fast. Black spots came over my eyesight. I blinked them away.

"I told them you were in the park and passed out because you were dehydrated and overheating." TJ responded. "You know I don't like lying to them. But I thought you should be the one to tell them what has been happening these last few months."
I nodded in thanks. TJ stood up from his chair.

"Magnus,what happened in the cemetery. I saw the wound on your hand,why didn't you heal yourself right away or where did it even come from?" I heard concern in his voice. He must of been panicking not knowing how to help when I was in pain. I bit my lower lip again.

"It was Sora." I muttered,looking away and down at my hand.

"What about him?" TJ said leaning in closer.

"It was Sora,he was hurt and in danger. A giant was chasing him and he got his foot stuck with a wound on his arm and hand." I constantly rubbed where the wound was while I spoke.

"TJ?" I struggle to make eye contact with him.

"What is it?" TJ said softly,realizing how I was shaking a bit.

"I don't think they have inherented abilities of Frey." I spit out quietly.

"What do you mean?" TJ said thinking after a moment of silence.

"When Phoenix was hurt all she had was a makeshift bandage to stop the bleeding,the Lava and fire didn't hurt her,it-it healed her. She didn't heal the way I heal myself or other people." Now that I think about it,when she came up on open flame it kinda dodged away and avoided her,but when the giant that was chasing her came to it ,it seemed to grow stronger like it wanted to protect her. Maybe it was like when Sora made the ice kill the giant or when it shattered and then became snow like. Maybe they have control over these elements. What if that why they couldn't heal their wounds by themselves? Is that why Sora let me heal him?

"Sora was bleeding,out of a deep cut on his arm near the veins of his wrist,if he kept bleeding he would have died. He didn't even attempt to heal himself,I don't think he could. When he fell and the giant was about to kill him,shards of ice came from the ground impaling the giant,as if he commanded or manipulated it too. I think Phoenix was doing it too." Flashbacks of both of them flooded my head,a certain one stuck out though...

I was sitting on my bad watering the small succulents Mom bought each of us in my windowsill because the window I slept by had the most sunlight throughout the day. I hear footsteps in the hall coming to the bedroom the three of us share.

I bet its Phe coming this way. I think as I turn my head to the door as the footsteps got louder. Soon enough Phoenix opened the bedroom door.

"You hungry?" She asks. She was wearing a old white short sleeve shirt and dark red leggings with no shoes or socks. Her colorful hair was tucked into a loose messy bun with a few bobby pins noticeably sticking out a bit near the sides of her head. She looked about twelve or thirteen.
