"I'm just orbiting around you.
I'm just running in circles." (134340 BTS)
As for Heather, she settled for the space in between friendship and love.
It was a love left undefined, after all.

"I heard you and Jungkook had an after-party last night?"
Last night — midnight rather — was indeed an after-party.
Jungkook stayed in my apartment until 2AM. Besides skimming through my collection, we may or may not have reserved some pieces of vinyl records online. We couldn't stop laughing at how impulsive we were when we listed for the reservation, the alcohol and adrenaline fuelling our moods.
We were very excited while doing so, so we did not notice the time. None of us complained because none of us had appointments early today.
'Unemployed,' Jungkook had shrugged when I asked him if he wasn't doing anything in the morning.
"Your cousin is cooler than you," I tease Yuha across the table.
"Alright," he puts down his utensils and looks at me. "Then you pay for this."
I grin at him dramatically. "You wouldn't."
He only chuckles at me.
Our lunch these past few days has been courtesy of his cafe because they have been trying to have a new menu. Today, his cook has a new dish to present, so Yuha and I are the first to taste it. I'm definitely taking advantage of our friendship in this part. Or in a lot of parts.
"This one is a bit bland," I comment on the pork dish. "Maybe more fish sauce will be better to add than salt. That's what they say."
Yuha raises his eyebrows at me, rolling his eyes afterward. "Who would believe you? You don't cook."
That's right. "But I watch Food Channel all the time. And I've tried a lot of food; I know how they should taste like," I defend myself. Yes, Food Channel is a valid source of cooking knowledge even though I don't cook. They said fish sauce is better than salt.
Yuha is about to rebut, but he is cut off when Jungkook arrives and sits beside him, who I do not even notice as he enters the cafe.
"Hello, cousin. Nice of you to join us for lunch." He pats Jungkook's shoulders. Yuha quickly calls for one of his staff to serve us another set of the dish for Jungkook.
"Hey, Heather." I grip my spoon so hard that it will surely leave a mark on my skin. His husky morning voice makes me feel something in my stomach that I prefer to ignore. No words come out of my mouth for a moment, so I gulp and send him a nod instead.
It takes me seconds to reply, and I make sure to ask the right question. "Jungkook, do you cook?" I clear my throat and ask out of curiosity while cunningly looking at Yuha.
Instead of Jungkook, it is Yuha who answers enthusiastically. "My gosh, he loves cooking."
"Oh, you do!" I exclaim knowingly. "So you can tell us what you think about the food then."
