Long ago, in a world living on the age of the discovery of metal, where gold was still considered money not a commodity, there existed two major continents housing cities and kingdoms governed by nobles and kings, namely Essos and Westeros. These two continents were the only known pieces of land by that time and it was a time of power, glory and gold.

On the lands of Essos located on the Eastern Hemisphere lies the huge cities of Astapor, Yunkai, Mereen, Volantis, Qarth, Valyria, Bravos and the barbaric tribes of Dothrak. Dothrak was leaded by the strongest man of the tribe, Bravos was considered a free city where leaders are chosen and replaced by the people's will. The other cities were governed by a council of nobles belonging to rich and famous houses of the East, they were identified as a parliament. However, the glory of these cities only belong to the rich. Poor people of the East are often traded as slaves to make a living. Life was glorious for the rich but was very terrible for the poor.

On the lands of Westeros located on the Western Hemisphere holds the grandest of power and armies. It was divided into nine kingdoms united into one empire. It was said to be divided before the conquest of Aegon Targaryen, the first king of the nine kingdoms. Westeros was divided into the kingdoms of The North, The Vale, Riverlands, Iron Islands, Westerlands, Crownlands, Stormlands, The Reach and Dorne. Westeros has long evolved and slavery was long abolished. It has embraced a new system of leadership where the nobles known as the lords and ladies of Westeros shall have their own house, army and sigil to rule its people. The people where free of choosing their own home and their own noble house to support. The entire lands of Westeros is governed by one king residing on the kingdom's capital city, King's Landing. He rules the land together with his hand and council and a warden on each kingdom shall serve as his liason in command. Westeros was full of great noble houses who have long existed and some of them have existed even before the conquest of Aegon the Conqueror. Each kingdom is then leaded by a warden appointed by the king and divided into different towns and cities leaded by houses who shall serve as bannermen of the warden. These bannermen will have their own name of their noble house, a castle or fortress to defend and a sigil of their own. They stand alongside their warden in times of war and conflict among other kingdoms in Westeros.

Now, King Aerys II of the House Targaryen son of King Aegon V, descendants of Aegon the Conqueror, rules as the King of Westeros. His allies, House Lannister, headed by Lord Tywin Lannister, served as Hand of the King to help the king rule his lands. There is also a council advising and helping the King and his Lord Hand to perform specific functions. King Aerys time as king was a very terrible time because tons of plagues, disasters and wars have break out. He was also constantly questioning his own men and executing them for disloyalty. Because of these horrible acts on his own allies, he was even referred by the people as "The Mad King" because of his constant tantrums and unpredictable behavior. To top that, he even ordered the Kingsguard, Sir Jaime Lannister, son of Lord Tywin, to murder his own kin because of disloyalty. Even without sufficient and appropriate proof, the Mad King continued his reign of terror by killing his own people to subdue his fear of being deposed as king.

As the years passed, the situation on Westeros continues to worsen. The Crownlands, where King's Landing was located was in years of famine and the current king doesn't spare anything for it's people. That was probably the main reason why rebellions and mob rallies have been rampant in the city. On the other hand, outside the capital, life was getting better as compared to the situation in the capital. Upon finding out that situations on the other kingdom was better, the people of King's Landing started migrating. People chose to leave their houses and move to different kingdoms in Westeros in hopes for a better life. When the king found out, he was so furious and lashed his fury onto his own guards striking fear and hatred on every one of them. He then instructed his people to summon all the wardens of the nine kingdoms and hold them accountable for the mass migration. From their homes, the wardens of each kingdom then decided to cooperate with the king and provide a better solution but little did they know, the king was way beyond reason. All wardens came to King's Landing except for Lord Tywin, Hand of the King and Warden of the Westerlands because the king sent him to Essos for a secret task. When the wardens faced the king, they then noticed that the king was not in the right state of mind and appeared derange. Lord Rickard Stark, warden of the North, started to calm the king down. Among the wardens, Lord Rickard was the one closest to the king before it assumed the throne. "Come my friend, there is nothing to worry", says Lord Rickard as he approaches the king. "We can work together and provide a better solution for the good of the realm", he added. With a pale face and messy hair, the king lift his head, faced his guests and smiled, "Yes, we can". Then soldiers with arrows entered the hall and surrounded the wardens. "This is the only way", says the king and waved his right hand giving the signal to his men to shoot. The wardens fell to the floor one by one like birds falling out of the sky. Then from above, other soldiers poured wildfire onto the poor wardens, their body ignited and burned as soon as the green liquid substance touched their skins and there, in the great hall, the great wardens of Westeros were burned alive, starting conflict all throughout the kingdom.
