Hello from the Abyss! ...Gotta work on a more creative greeting..
Before you continue to the very first chapter of this book I'd like to make a few disclaimers/ warnings/notes!
1. Despite this story being inspired by mythology it doesn't quite replicate the origin of all the gods. There will be of course, mentions of gods which you may have heard of before, however the story will differ almost completely. In simpler terms, this will in a way be my 'own creation of my mythology'. Again, I'm not saying that for example; "I made up Hades and he's the god of the Underworld"; as my idea but rather taking these different characters and creating my own distinct world. I hope this makes sense. If this still confuses you, please comment your questions and I'll try to explain it better!
2. I'm a high school graduate, meaning I will be making some writing mistakes in the future. I will try my best to give you guys quality writing content but please if you notice any grammar or spelling errors, feel free to comment on those sections!
3. CORPSEEEEEEE!!! Ok, as some or possibly many of you have noticed my background cover is 'Corpse Husband' - faceless youtuber. So to clarify the reason he is there, other than my love for the talented man, is because his profile is my inspiration for the main character's (the God of Darkness) alter ego. Of course if this doesn't suit your imagination, this doesn't have to be what he looks like to you. I just wanted to share my imagination, heheh!
4. Cursed to the Abyss is the title of this book, but, I'm not 100% sure if this will be the final and official title to this book. So please save this to your reading list if ever I end up changing the title and you are unable to find it.
5. This book was as well partly inspired by The Vampire Diaries and/or The Originals. I just wanted to let you guys know that yes I'm aware certain parts of the way things work, regarding magic, is pretty similar to TVD. An example would be the magic of "expression". In the TVD 'expression' was the most dangerous magic and held a lot of consequences, so I incorporated that idea but switched it up to meet the demands of a mythical world.
6. On to the first chapter of the book. Ok, the first chapter of the story may be a little bit overwhelming and intimidating from the lack of information and history preview of this certain 'world'. The spontaneous writer in me likes when the story starts at an interesting angle but, that may also be my downfall...anywhoooo trust in the story. A lot of the technical stuff will be explained through the chapters and different situations, so you won't be completely lost. I just didn't want to give a whole explanation/history lesson on the characters right away and let it flow through the story instead. Hope this doesn't bother you guys too much.
I guess that will be all :) Again, I hope you enjoy and give this beautiful story a chance !

CHARACTER AESTHETIC/DESCRIPTION
*THIS IS A BOOK WHICH IS STILL ONGOING, MEANING THERE MAY BE MORE CHARACTERS ADDED ON TO THIS LIST AS THE STORY PROGRESSES.*
The description may not make entirely sense as most of it will be explained along the story so I'd recommend reading a few chapters first or until you are introduced to new characters.
