Spirit Animal AU

100 years ago, humanity was surprised by the first child born with cat ears and tail.

Now, every human is born into the world with animal traits and instincts.

They also have a spirit animal that follows them around in the shape of the animal they are born as.

However, a few humans are born yearly with no spirit animal or animal trait.

These humans are thought to be shunned by the gods, however, that isn't the story.

These few humans are more blessed than everyone else.

At the age of 16, they grow wings white as snow or black as the night.

They are known as Angels and are rare nowadays since the government has been taking them for testing and torture.

Though a few have escaped the government's eyes.

They live like normal humans who are truly born without a spirit animal, making up only 5% of the population.

1. (Oc) is captured by the government and is placed in a cage with (Crush). They become close over the few months they are locked up together. 

2. (Oc) just escaped from a government bounty hunter that was taking (Him/Her) to a government facility. (He/She) had been injured in their escape and is found by a group who is fighting against the government. (Crush) happens to be the leader of the said revolution, and has a few questions for (Oc) when (He/She) wakes. (Crush) offers to personally train (Oc).

3. (Crush) is working for a government facility as a security guard, though (He/She) has no idea what they are guarding. (Oc) was brought in one day and has been causing trouble since arriving. (He/She) has been trying everything to escape, and has almost made it out a few times, but it always stopped right before the last few doors. It was (Crush)'s first day working inside the facility one night, however, (He/She) was told to keep out for patient number __.

4. (Oc) was living life as a normal human, only letting (His/Her) wings out at home or in one of the abandoned warehouses close to (His/Her) (School/Job) after a long day. (Crush) happened to be walking past hearing flapping in the warehouse and (His/Her) curiosity got the best of (Him/Her). (Oc) was happily flying around with a carefree smile on (His/Her) face. However, (Crush) steps on a can causing (Oc) to freeze mid-fight, and turn to face (Crush). 

5. (Oc) is one of the most known fighters for the revolution against the government. (He/She) was captured after a raid gone wrong, and was placed in a cage across from someone else. (Oc) had been fighting back since arriving. The occupant in the cage across from (Him/Her) speaks up one day after (Oc) was brought back after another punishment. (Oc) learns (His/Her) cage neighbor had been there for a few years, and that they thought it was useless to fight back since (He/She) was the fourth Angel to be brought to that cage in the last year or so. (Oc) also learned (His/Her) name was, (Crush), and told them (He/She) had a plane to escape. Even if (Crush) didn't believe (Him/Her).
