Chapter 18

Liv's POV

Harry left early the next afternoon. He said he had a couple of interviews with the boys. He told me he'd call when he had a spare moment, and that possibly we could grab a drink later. I knew full well that if we grabbed that drink, that the events that occurred last night will most likely happen again.
I got out of bed, chucked on some clothing that consisted of gym shorts and a loose t-shirt and walked out to the kitchen where I found Jess sitting at the bar with Katia, "hey ladies," I said turning on the coffee machine
"So Liv, I heard about what happened last night," Katia said
"And I actually heard it," Jess added
"Uh yeah," I didn't know what else to say
"So what happened then?" Katia asked, "you rushed out of the bar, after not being able to find Harry,"
"Yeah, that's what happened," I said
"So he came over?"
"He sure did,"
"What happened then? Apart from the sex obviously. Why did he come over?"
"To explain everything I guess, he told me him and Kendall had broken up,"
"So what does that make you guys then?" Jess asked, knowing full well it didn't make Harry and I anything. I guess she just asked to join in the conversation
"I don't know," I told them honestly, I really didn't know, especially since I realised I had feelings for him and having this contract over my head, "I guess right now we're not anything because he just broke up with Kendall,"
"But he came straight over here?"
"Yeah, but that doesn't really mean anything does it? He explained everything to me. I don't know what I mean to him, because we haven't spoken about anything like that before," I told the girls, "all I know is that when I asked him about the tour, he mentioned that he would miss me when he left,"
"Well that's a good sign," Katia said, "clearly you mean something to him or he wouldn't have said something like that,"
"Unless he's just going to miss the sex," Jess added
"True," Katia said looking at her watch, "it was lovely to see you ladies again, but I must be off, I'm meeting Zayn for lunch,"
"Alright babe, good to see you," I said, "we should get dinner soon,"
"Definitely, just call me," she gave us a hug and kiss on the cheek and small hug goodbye, and walked to the door, "oh and Liv," she added as she opened the door, "don't worry too much about H's feelings, he'd be an absolute idiot not to like you back," and she left
I was kind of glad that Katia left when she did, it meant I could talk honestly talk to Jess about the phone call, "so now that Katia's gone, who called last night?" She asked
"Elizabeth, asking about what went down last night,"
"Right... So?"
"So basically I get a little extra for completing the task in way less time than was required, but there's a few conditions," I told my sister
"What would they be?"
"I have to continue hanging around the boys until they say,"
"That's not so bad though right?"
"It's not, it's just that after they tell me enough is enough, I have to cut ties with Harry," I explained
"What about me and Liam and The Collective boys?"
"She doesn't care about that, that's up to you guys,"
"Is that a problem cutting ties with Harry? I mean it shouldn't be unless..."
"Unless I have feelings for him," I finished for her
"You do don't you?"
"Yeah," I sighed, "I fucked up so bad, this was legit supposed to be a break them up and then leave thing, but no I had to catch feelings,"
"It'll be okay Liv,"
"I don't know Jess, I really don't know,"

Later that day Jess went to the gym and I was still stuck in the apartment, I got s text from Harry telling me to turn on the radio, because they were being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, "welcome back guys," Ryan's voice came through the speakers, "we're here with the one and only One Direction,"

(Interview)
R- Ryan, H- Harry, Z- Zayn, N- Niall, Li- Liam, Lo- Louis)
R: so welcome to the show guys
N: it's good to be here Ryan
R: so you guys are in New York preparing for your tour, how's that going for you?
Z: really good, we're all really excited for it
H: we don't really have rehearsals or anything so most of its just free time for us, except when we have photo shoots or interviews. It's good to actually be able to stay in one place for a bit before travelling again
R: so Harry you've been in the media a bit lately
H: yeah I have, but that's not new for me
Li: not new for any of us really
R: especially for the reasons your in for Harry, except maybe the cheating part?
H: yeah, but that's all rubbish. Well the cheating part
R: do you mind elaborating?
H: not at all, Kendall and I have been over for quite a while, it was known between the two of us, but it was never actually said. She came to New York to try and get me back I guess, but I'd already moved on
R: to the girl Liv the world seems to be talking about?
Lo: that's the one, lovely, lovely girl
R: so what's going on there if you don't mind me asking?
H: not sure just yet, early days. She's definitely something though, Ryan.
R: good to hear, wish you the best with her bro
H: thanks mate

(Interview over)

The interview ended a few minutes later, with more being asked about the tour, and no more spotlight on what ever was going on between Harry and I. As soon as the interview ended I got a text from Harry.

From Harry: sorry I've hardly messaged or spoken to you today, hope you listened to the interview x

I replied instantly

To Harry: it's okay :) you've been busy, I understand. I definitely did x

From Harry: it has definitely been a long day. But it started off really well I must say. Could get use to waking up to you ;) what did you think? x

To Harry: I could get use to it too :) it was good, thank you for not saying too much about me though. What did you mean by something? x

From Harry: you'll find out soon enough babe. I'm on my way back to the hotel now, want to do something low key. So drinks at the hotel or yours? x

To Harry: I'll be waiting :p Jess said something about going to the hotel to see Liam, so I have the place to myself I can order a pizza and you know I have drinks x

From Harry: sounds good babe I'll be over in about an hour x

Jess came back a little bit later, "you okay babe?" She asked
"Yeah I sure am," I said, "Harry said I was 'something' when they were being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest before,"
"Aw that's adorable!" She cooed
"It just makes everything that little bit harder, because I still don't know where we stand or what's going to happen when I have to cut ties with him," I sighed, "I never should have taken this job to begin with," I ran my hands through my hair for what seemed like the millionth time that day
"But we needed the money to maintain our lifestyle, wait forget maintaining the life we've been accustom to our entire lives, we need the money to live," she said, then it looked like a lightbulb lit up in her brain, "wait I have an idea,"
"Okay?" I was a little worried because sometimes her ideas aren't always the smartest
"What if you tell him before they do?"
"What?"
"Why don't you tell him, don't you think he would take it better coming from you rather than their management that they seem to despise so much?"
"You read too much fan fiction," I laughed, at her mention of One Direction's supposed hatred towards their management team, "but after my experiences with them, well Elizabeth in particular, I do see where you're coming from," I said, "do you think that could work though? Won't he be like super pissed regardless of who told him about it?"
"Yes, but at least you'll be telling him,"
"But that's breaching my contract with Modest!"
"Maybe if you tell him first, then keep hanging around him..."
"If he takes it well and doesn't hate me afterwards," I cut her off
"Let me finish?" I nodded, "maybe if you tell him first and then he wants to continue hanging around you, and then Modest tell him, he won't let on that you told him,"
"But if he hates me after it, he'll tell them and then they'll sue us,"
"Not if we find out whose idea this was in the first place, Modest wouldn't have come up with this by them selves, besides they said they had help,"
