While Rachel sat in the bathroom she kept thinking what was happening to Anna right now. Anna risked her life to save Rachel's. She was staring at he pink bathroom wall while she thought over her plan.
' click, snap'
That was coming from Rachels bathroom doorknob. Now Rachel was on the verge of fainting. Her lock was being picked! She started looking around for a weapon, but then she thought to herself "what if the person had a gun?"
What on earth was Rachel supposed to do. She looked around. She rummaged through the cabinets for something useful.
She found toothbrushes, toothpaste, tape, brushes, curling irons. Everything was not useful!
The noise was consistent the only difference was it was more persistent. Rachel had no ideas. She had one thought to slow the person down. She grabbed the stool from next to the shower sat in it and put her back against the door and held the lock with her thumb. She had no other ideas.
Rachel leaned her head back against the door and closed her eyes. She thought about her mom and Anna. Were they still alive or were they severely injured.
Then the noise stopped. She opened her eyes and put her eye down to the crack at the bottom of the door. And what she saw was a big brown eye looking back at her and she heard a creepy old crackled laugh. Then it was gone.
BANG!!!
The door shook.
THUD!!!
Rachel was freaking out. The man was trying to get in! She looked all around. Then she looked up. A vent just big enough to crawl into.
She looked around one more time and saw tape. She reached for it and taped the lock shut. She grabbed the stool she was sitting on and prayed open the vent with a few bobby pins. And climbed through. She did her best to put the vent screen back on.
The banging and thumping continued. They showed no sign of knowing that she had escaped. Rachel navigated through the vent system looking for he mother and Anna.
