Time: 8:41pm 2 Days After Murder

My soul immediately woke up in my house, with police tape all around the windows, doors, and fence. It bummed me out to see they messed with my home.

Looking around the living room, where I woke up, the mess my supposed murderer made was not cleaned. Blood was decorated in speckles on my couch, just near it was where my body was. It seems that they took it away already. I look everywhere else and all the other rooms were left untouched, and the police seemed to be done for the night.

I pop into Yao's house after investigating my own a little bit, I found him in his kitchen making himself some toast. "Good evening Yao," I call, sitting on a chair in the living room.

Yao looked over in my direction and smiled. "Wǎnshàng hǎo, Matthew." he finished his toast and started eating.

"How was your day today?"

"It's been okay, I take it that visiting Alfred did not go so well?"

"Ah, I am guessing either Alfred or Arthur told you about what happened?"

Yao chuckled. "Yeah, I knew it would happen if you went to see him that early."

I was hit with shock. "What?! You did?! Why didn't you say anything!"

"Either way Matthew, you would have went regardless what I say." Yao looked at me straight in the eyes. I mean, he isn't wrong though, I would manage to sneak and find him.
"However," he continued. "You saved Alfred from death, though you might have scared him."

"I guess so," I sighed.

We fell into awkward silence as Yao continued eating his toast. So I ask, "is this all that has happened today?"

"Yes, and no. We are supposed to meet Lukas at the park around ten at night. He is going to make you a doll to at least possess until we find out how to get you back... if you want to live again." Yao replied.

I thought to myself for a minute. It would not be a difference either way if I was alive or not. People wouldn't see me, but it would be nice for my family.. why not right?

"I mean, yeah, I don't want my family to fall into such grief." I nod.

"That's what I thought." Yao takes the last bite of his toast and washed the plate he used. "Anything else do you need to know?"

I took a long pause to think about what I wanted to know from today. "How's the investigation? Have they found a lead of who could of murdered me?"

"From what knowledge I have, not quite. The police don't want people getting involved, but they should be talking to the provinces that stayed that night, something like that." he explains. "Your counterpart has been leading on your case, sometimes he thinks it's Francois, but more of an assumption."

"Honestly if he was the one who killed me I would not be surprised."

"Yeah me too, but if it was him, the case would of been solved on your death day, don't you think?"

"You have a point. I would probably be mistaken like usual, but for Matthieu instead of Alfred."

"Hao." Yao checks the time on his phone, then to the window. "We still have a few hours to spare, why don't we go on a walk until it's time to go the park?"

"I mean I'm good with it, are you?"

"Yup! Ready to go?" he was putting on a jacket as he was still talking to me. I nod at him, Yao tells Leon that he was leaving for a walk and comes back and we leave.

The sun was almost fully set and we were in the darkness of the dusk. Only thing that lit up our path was the street lamps in the quiet streets of Yao's neighborhood.

"Has pere talked to you yet? How is he?"

"Francis hasn't left his bedroom, at least that's what Arthur explained when I saw them earlier. Both him and Alfred were on their way to his house."

"Poor père... how have you been holding up?"

Yao looked over at me. "What do you mean?"

"You seem like you have a lot more on your hands each time I visit you. Must be tiring, hm?"

"No, my life always has been busy. Maybe from you visiting me, you got to know what I do."

"Yeah, I forget we never really talked when I was alive. Busy or not too."

"Hao, sorry for not acknowledging your presence too. As you might be used to it, I even forget my own name."

"Don't worry about it, really. At least you never assumed I was Alfred, even Arthur. He denied that I am my own person and insisted I was joking."

"Well Arthur clearly is blind, and stupid. You two have a clear difference and it's not just your personalities."

What he said made my ears perk up in interest. "Difference? Like what?"

Yao paused for a while to think. "Well... both of your eyes are different. You also slouch a lot and it correlates to your body language, which is always tired and timid compared to Alfred. His is bold and outgoing, but also a punchable presence. Not only that, but the both of you have different colors of auras. Alfred's is a bright blue aura and yours a mild lavender."

"You know body language, not even that, but auras? How?"

"I don't know, how am I talking to your ghost?"

"You know me, without actually knowing me, that's so creepy to think about-" i paused realizing I could of offended Yao. "B-But also really interesting! Lavender is actually my favorite color..."

"Good to know your aura matches your favorite color-" Yao suddenly stopped walking and turned his head in a direction.

I stopped after realizing he was farther away from me, retreating back to the medium. "What is it Yao?"

"Gilbert..."
