You know all those movies with the skater girl, who randomly knows how to fix a broken down car fixes a guys and then proceeds to skate away. And the guy is just in awe at how un-girly a girl can be and he just has to see her again. See her mystery when in reality he just wants to crawl into her life and make her like any other boring girl he's met.

You know?

Well that was me, that is me. Except her hair isn't pink or a bright blue or a warm orange. Its just brown. Her hairs brown and her lips seem swollen, waiting to be kissed.

I loved parties. Talking to people was my thing, is my thing. But right now all these people talking to me should just shut the fuck up and let me keep breaking down who I think this girl is. Making up fake scenarios of how to introduce myself. It would be great if they also stopped breathing so hard down on my neck.

I finally split from them. I grab a new drink something more fruity. I shake the jacket that now feels too hot and too heavy on me. Why was I nervous she might be boring or weird. But thats what I wanted, weird. I didn't wanted her to be boring.

I look back up at the wall she was leaned against, part of me hoping she had left or had just been part of my imagination. But she wasn't. Instead some guy was talking to her and she seemed to enjoy the attention. Was that a red flag? If it was then I'm a bull going straight for it.

"Then I dunked on his ass, bro it was insane. I'll catch up with you alright love?" I overheard the guy say before waving leaning for a hug and then walking off.

How do I even start a conversation. I kept glancing at her and looking away any time she even looked near me. My back was now facing her and my drink was almost gone.

"Question." I heard from behind me. "Hey, you." I slowly turned around almost animitdly. She was looking up and directly into my eyes. "Question," she repeated. I stopped drinking from my cup and picked up the courage to look at her. "Yeah?"

"Well more like a statement. I was hoping you didn't run off my friend to just lean on a wall next to me."

"Run off?" I repeated, one because I was confused and second because it was hard to hear her. I couldn't quite distinguish her tone or the sound of her voice yet. "Yeah, you walk up here all close and he was thinking maybe I was going to get lucky tonight. And I was hoping so too. But you're not even looking at me. So was I mislead?" A small smile filled my face. Her being was energetic.

"I was trying to figure out how to introduce myself without sounding like a douche. I might be leading you on too because I don't sleep with people at parties." I said getting closer to her. "Who said I wanted to fuck you?" Her face was serious and I went into panic. "I didn't. I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"

"I'm fucking with you, why are you so jumpy."

"Would it be weird to say you're making me really nervous." I was now facing the party instead of her. I could feel her still next to me, I could feel her eyes on my side. "A good nervous or bad?" She said. "Neither. Just nervous. I had imagined how to say hi and now I'm here and I don't really know what to talk about. This is nothing like the movies, huh." I sighed taking another sip. "Take this, I can almost smell the pure juice in yours." I took her drink and smelled it, straight vodka. I took a sip and let it sink in.

"So what did you expect. Or what movie girl should I be acting like?" She walked in front of me and waited for a response. "Come on. What movie?"

"Honestly?" She nodded impatiently waiting. She had grabbed her cup and mine and mixed them. Giving each of us a little. "Clementine, eternal sunshine." I said getting into a much more calm mood. "Which one? Red haired, orange haired, or blue hair?" She asked looking at me but this time i didn't shrink at her eyes.

"Aren't they all the same person?" I asked and she smiled at me knowingly. "You're literally like everyone else." I furrowed my eyebrows, I was honestly offended. "Ouch. Well, tell me the difference."

"They are the same person but red head is who Joel wants hence she's in his head. Orange haired is more like the part Joel hates all the fights were with orange head. And then the blue haired clementine is her, really her. The parts she wants Joel to hate because shit she hates herself. You only watched the movie once huh?" I nodded. "Let me guess you watched Scott pilgrim vs the world?" I slowly shook my head. "Are you lying?" I shook my head. "I'm not, I've heard it's very shit."

"Well aren't you different?" She said teasingly. "I'm not. I'm like that guy doing belly shots. And that girl white dancing. And I'm like that kid leaning on the wall looking at the girl dancing. I'm nobody and a combination of everything. What about you... who are you?" I played along. "The same thing. Everything and nothing. A combination of my surroundings. I also don't like this party." I smiled. Chugging my drink. "So I guess you'll be just clementine right? Spontaneous?" She let out the smallest chuckle through her smile.

"Are you nuts?" I asked. "Like am I going to be murdered by a someone almost a foot shorter than me? Because that would be embarrassing." She grabbed my hand and led me to the kitchen. "As long as you get those two bottles of vodka and that pineapple juice i promise you no blood will be shed tonight," she said grabbing a cup and filling it with ice. "Deal." I grabbed the vodka bottles and thought of where to put them. I remembered by bag was upstairs.

"If i leave for a second you'll be here?"

"Gots to take a wee?" She said in a ridiculous accent. "I forgot my bag," she shooed me away and I ran up those stairs like I was being chased by a demon. And back down. I saw her in the kitchen carrying everything and ready to go. She seemed perfect in that scenery.

"Alright tangerine, let's go be spontaneous." I grabbed the bottles from her hands and placed them in my bag along with my jacket for protection. Before I could place two mini vodka bottles in the back pack she grabbed one and opened it. She drank it like a ginger shot. She then took a chug from the juice bottle and let it sigh out. "Your turn." She handed me an opened mini and I drank it. I looked at the juice then at her. "You drank out of it."

"You're such a baby, here," I leaned over to her who was making it hard for me to reach. As I leaned closer I felt her lips on mine. It was for sure unexpected but fuck was it enjoyable. Her hands were placed on my cheeks and I could taste the bitter alcohol. And I could especially taste the sweet juice on her lips and tongue. The way she lead was new but it felt right. I lifted my hand to a strand of hair that had gotten in the way. As I pulled it out of her face our faces parted.

I looked at her eyes with confidence for the first time tonight. She was going to speak but I pecked her lips quickly before she could. "Not so germaphobic now?"

"Definitely not." I grabbed the jug of juice and took a sip. "Where to?" I asked closing it and hanging it back to her. "Anywhere."

I smiled and grabbed her hand. Maybe she could use a little following instead of leading like she had been in the conversation and kiss. "You like ducks?" I asked as we both walked out of the house and towards the nights.

"You mean the sport?" I shook my head. My hand was still in hers and we kept walking. "The animal. There's this park. And they just recently put a nest full of babies. I was going to check tomorrow but I'd like to take you." I tried to read her but stopped. I wanted the night to carry me. "I feel special."

"Damn right you should. Hope you can climb a fence." I rushed the ending of my sentence and smiled at her. On the way there we talked more about the movie and how insanely well done it was. We also did take a couple more swigs of the bottle.

We stopped at a small market where I bought some fruits and some veggies and a small loaf of bread. The girl I know as tangerine grabbed some chips and energy drinks. "Grab me some more ice." She pointed at the bag of ice and I looked at her in shock. Was she going to have me carry that all the way there. Oh god.

I carried the small bag and she carried the ice bag.

When we got there she was stumbling and I was too. We sat near enough the nest to see it the already hatched eggs. "Dude they're adorable I'm going to go pet one," I said grabbing a caprisun and starting to get up.
