Jurassic Park: The Life of the Rex *Complete*

Chapter 5

Rexy was awoken by screams of terror, crashing and banging as she rose to her feet, she tilted her head to the side to see where the annoying noises were coming from.

"The visitor centre." She sighed as she could hear the children she had seen earlier screaming and shouting at each other, she then heard screeches of the raptors and shook her head. "They are doomed." She said and stretched out her back legs before going to walk and find some food, her steps booming around her as she walked, her tail swishing calmly. She looked around what was going to be a park, now destroyed and in pieces, a few herbivours that had been killed were scattered about the tracks and footprints placed in the mud of each dinosaur that had escaped, she passed her old paddock and looked over the edge to see the car that she pushed off was no flat on the floor on it's top. She gave a grunt as if she was chuckling about it, before turning away and contining her venture to find food. She would go for scraps like when she was little, but now she has the taste of other dinosaurs and humans, not just measly goats, she wanted more. The Tyrant managed to enter a new paddock, one she hadn't yet been in. She raised her snout in the air and sniffed around to pick up a scent of anything, looking around after a moment again, she spotted a corpse. But it wasn't an animal, she tilted her head confused at the corpse, deciding to go and check what kind of creature this was. Once she reached it, she spotted that it was a human, his gun lay at the side of him with a few darts that he had fired out, she scanned the body closely and noticed the marks of who had attacked him. "Raptors again..." Rexy snorted and turned away from the corspe, spotting in front of her and not that far was an unexpected Stegosaurus, she knew about these dinosaurs, they had plates going up their backs and a spike tail for protection, she allowed a small grunt out and shifted.

"I can't take this by running at her, it'll swing at me." Rexy thought as she continued to watch the stegosaurus happily grazing on the grass. She lowered her head a little to get a better look, before she noticed something in the corner of her eye, coming towards the Stegosaurus was her herd. There was no way Rexy would have a chance now, a couple of swipes of that tail and she could end up with a broken jaw or downed by them, she couldn't let that happen. If she wanted one of them, she would have to wait for them to be on their own, letting out a disappointed groan, she turned away from the herd and walked away, going to find something else to feast one. As she moved away from the herd of Stegosaurus, she noticed a lone Parasaur that had been spilt from her herd, she growled and started to run towards the dinosaur, making the dinosaur roar in terror and run off, the Rex close behind. After the Tyrant had built up her speed, she caught up with her prey, opening her maw and closing around the victim, giving a harsh bite and the life of the Parasaur left, leaving a lifeless body in the Rex's mouth, she dropped the carcuss on the floor and let out a victory roar, lowering her head after and starting to feed on the body.

Once she was finished with her feed, she decided to head back to the water source that was fresh and cool, which also happened to be near the visitor centre. "By now the raptors should of had their feast and left, they never stay anywhere long." She said to herself as she made her way slowly to the centre, when she got closer she noticed that the commotion was still going on, she sighed a little and helped herself to the water source, which also cleaned the blood off her lips. Raising her head, she turned to stare at the building where the screeching and screaming was happening, this time there were more then just the children, adult screams from a lady had joined in and a adult male was shouting instructions and shooting a gun, she decided to make her way to the front of the centre and look at the doors. They looked big enough for her to fit, maybe she could have an extra snack before settling down behind the centre for the night, she stood still, her tail swishing softly and her breathing calm as she continued to watch the doors and hear the commotion going on. "If I go in though, I might never come out, those raptors can be deadly to me." She mumbled, her breathing heightening a little as she thought about it. "I could wait out here for the humans and take them as they come....." She said to herself before shaking her head and letting a growl. "Your a Rex for goodness sake, stronger then the raptors and anything else on this island!" She found her mind telling her harshly. "Your basically the alpha of this island, take those raptors down and you will be." Her mind growled at her.

Rexy shook her head and the thoughts out of her mind, she listened closely and the sound had calmed a little, she could still hear the raptors screeching. "Maybe they have got awa....." Her speech was cut off when she heard the commotion start up again, this time closer to her then before. "Never mind.....That's it." Rexy spoke to herself and heard a distant humming sound, she guessed it was a car again and then she heard some noise that sounded different, she had heard it when she was younger and when these humans arrived and she had seen it fly over the island time from time, she guessed it was that big metal vehicle that can carry humans about in the sky, her attention turned back to the doors of the visitors centre and she headed in, charging through the doors. The heavy doors crashed to each side as she came through and she grabbed the first raptor that was about to dive at the humans, her maw clamping down around the body and killing her, she dropped the corpse to the floor, taking small bites out of it when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her neck, she turned her head away a little and noticed it was a second raptor, she growled and saw the humans make a run for it out of the building as the sound of the rumbling of the car appeared outside the centre, she could hear chattering going on before the doors slammed shut, making the sound more muffled, she quickly turned her attention back to the raptor who was still taking bites of her rough skin, she threw her head down which made the raptor ontop of her scramble a little as the creature slipped down her neck, the tail of the raptor whipped her mouth a little in panic, but it also gave her easy access to the dinosaur, grabbing the raptors tail between her maw, she bit down and pulled the tail which made the raptors body more easier for her to grab, with another swipe of her mouth, she managed to grab the raptor in her maw and bit down, killing the raptor instantly just like the first one, she then threw the corpse towards the skeleton that was still standing as the others in the visitor centre were in pieces below her. The skeleton fell to the side by the force of the throw and crashed into the stairwell, breaking into pieces and crashing onto the floor.

"I beat them!" Rexy panted and turned towards the way she came in and let out her almighty roar that shook the area a little and made a banner fall in front of her stating 'When dinosaurs ruled the earth'......... Now she was the top of the food chain and the island was hers.
