"YOU'RE MUSIC IS SO LOUD," you said.

You and Denki were currently lying on the floor after your intense game of Pictionary.

"What're you even listening to?" you asked, curious as to what his taste in music was like.

"Huh?" he said as he took out one of his earbuds.

You sighed and asked again.

"What are you listening to?" you inquired, making sure to enunciate every word so he could hear.

He mouthed an "oh" and showed you his phone. You leaned in to get a good look and stilled.

"Tongues? By the Frights?" you questioned. "Never heard of it."

The yellow-haired man raised an eyebrow.

"Really?"

You nodded your head.

Before you could even react, he shoved an earbud in your ear.

"I'm- What the hell?!" you shrieked.

"Listen," he simply said.

"And I don't care, you got your tongue against my neck,

Do you like my style?

Have you seen my shoes?

'Cause they've been ripped from to shit from walking the world for you,"

The lyrics to the song filled the air until it finished, and you were met with an ad. Denki then took the earbud back.

"So what do you think?" he asked.

"It was alright," you shrugged.

"Please! It was good, I think you're too scared to admit it," he gasped loudly.

You shook your head. You stood up and prompted him to sit up too. You pulled out your phone and opened up Spotify.

"Nah, I'll show you something way better," you exclaimed.

The sounds of a synth followed by a man with a deep voice filled the elevator.

"This is one of my favorite songs, and it's 100 times better than Tongues," you proudly exclaimed.

"You can have my love, you're the girl of my life

Am I all you're dreamin' of

Yes, you're my desire,"

"I wanna give you so much," you quietly sang.

"I-"

"Shush, here comes the hook," you quickly shushed Denki.

"Whatever you want

Whatever you need,

My heart belongs to you,"

You quietly sang along to the song until it ended.

"So what do you think? This is better huh?" you smirked.

"It's alright I guess," he said as he stared at the ground.

"You're an awful liar," you laughed.

"Uh-huh, now take the earbud again. I'm gonna prove my music is better," he challenged. You internally groaned a bit.

"Fuck is he so competitive for?" you thought.

"Yeah, yeah," you sighed as you took the earbud. "Play the song."

The sound of a bass filled your ear. It was soon followed by the snapping of fingers and light taps of a snare drum. A sense of familiarity struck you. Then the sound of a melodic voice entered your ears.

"I've got sunshine on a cloudy day

When it's cold outside

I've got the month of May

I guess you'd say

What can make me feel this way,"

"My girl, my girl, my girl," you quietly muttered.

"You know this?" he asked, propping his elbow on his thigh.

You looked at him with a deadpanned expression as to say, "Are you serious right now?"

"My dad constantly played this when I was little," you explained. "He'd beat my ass if I didn't recognize this."

"I've got a sweeter song

Than the birds in the trees

Well, I guess you'd say

What can make me feel this way,"

"It really is a classic," you sighed as the song faded out.

He nodded in agreement as he took his earbud back.

"Ok, it's your turn now," he grinned.

You checked your phone percentage, only to find it at 20%.

"Denki my phone won't last long, and I think it's better if I save it in case something happens," you explained, putting it back in your pockets.

"Fine," he pouted. He turned around and faced the wall. You shook his shoulder trying to get him to turn back.

"Hey. Hey. Hello? Bruh-"

He wasn't budging. You'd facepalmed so much in these past 3 hours, it was ridiculous. Here you were stuck in an elevator with a grown-ass man who was pouting.

"If I play one last song, will you stop pouting like a child?" you asked.

He slowly turned and nodded happily.

"I knew you'd give in! Now play the song," he beamed.

"Boy-"

You sighed for the umpteenth time and pulled out your phone.

"Fuck bitches, get money

Fuck niggas, get money

Fuck bitches, get money

Fuck niggas, get money,"

"Oh, I think I've heard this before," Denki exclaimed.

You raised your eyebrow. While it wasn't unlikely, you didn't think he'd know this song.

"Really?" you questioned.

"Yeah, I think I've heard it from Tiktok-"

"And this is where we stop."

You turned off the music, and then your phone.

"Wait, what did I do-"

"Go sit in the corner again."

"Ok-"
